I'd give the edge to Austin Hedges still, but no matter who the catcher was that ball was likely still flying out. Lively spiked it straight into the front lip of home plate. Bo brings a lot of raw talent to the team he's just been working it out (and he's doing a damn good job at that right now).
Ahhhh, that would be tremendous for us Guardians fans across America but..... let's put the brakes on that..... realistically, their chances of going far in the playoffs and playing in and winning the W.S., all depends on who the FO acquires in trading for a starting pitcher and veteran SS who is a better hitter than Arias and Rocchio.
Guards SP Ben Lively was a big factor in this Independence Day game between Cleveland & CWS.....with a better pitching performance on the mound than SP Gavin Williams in the first couple of innings. (yes, I know that Williams had his first start yesterday and was rusty and hadn't pitched in the majors until yesterday). Remarkable defense play by Cleveland 2B Andres Gimenez, should be on this year's AL All-star Team to join teammates 3B Jose Ramirez and LF Steven Kwan. Great offense or defensive output Guards rookie CF Angel Martinez and RF Jhonkensy Noel. There had been a counting error previously where they accidentally walked the hitter on the 3rd ball instead of the 4th. It was 2-2 when the pitch was thrown, so when they called him back, it was a 3-2 count. They just accidentally put 3-0 when they reset the scoreboard. The next pitch was his 3rd strike
