I love the fact that you guys have such a good time just talking to each other and like laughing with each other because it makes me want to continue watching and laugh along with you like I damn near. Wish I was there in the room with you just so I could be laughing with you❤
I’m 26 and have been sober for 2 years. Growing up around alcoholics made my life so difficult. I’m so happy I made the change and I haven’t looked back :) there’s a really great book “Quit like a woman” by holly Whitaker and she talks about the societal norms that come with alcohol and how society is just lined up to revolve around it. rly interesting read that helped me want to quit!
Hey everyone! If you want to learn more about the Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni case, check out the A Bit Fruity podcast. They used a skillful journalist to discuss the case and I think it’s worth listening to when there’s a lot of one sided stuff spread all over the internet. Listen to victims! The episode is called “Blake Lively and the Amber Heard effect”
I feel like everyone should stop commenting on the justin and blake stuff until the lawsuits play out.. there's so much contradictions made on both ends, i feel like we shouldn't be speculating on harassment. At the end of the day they're both real humans with real families and it's an awful situation for conspiracies and filling in the blanks with our own imaginations..
I’m 23 and hit one year sober October 2024. You ladies have been with me through the whole ride. I lived alone for the first time for a year and hit rock bottom with my drinking and couldn’t get myself to quit until I woke up in the ER with a severe injury from blacking out. I had to drop my childhood best friend for abandoning me alone blacked out. Your podcast has gotten me through so many phases of my life. I’m now in my healthy gym era with my boyfriend and dogs and I’m so so so happy ❤ I love you ladies!!
HIGHLY recommend the book Sober Curious by Ruby Warrington! And love the idea of leaning on things you enjoyed as a child! I always loved dancing, reading, coloring, crafts, re-arranging my bedroom, bike rides, and walking around my neighborhood. Turns out I still (soberly) enjoy those things so much. I’m 6 weeks sober from alcohol and 4 weeks THC-free and loving it. ♡
That was a super hot take on the Blake Lively vs. Justin Baldoni case, I suggest looking into it more. A majority of the cast has publicly stated their support for Blake, there’s gotta be something behind all of this. There’s also loads of evidence that Justin Baldoni hired publicists to create a smear campaign on Blake Lively around the time the movie was releasing, which includes the videos that were circling of Blake being ‘bitchy’ or rude to interviewers. The Viall Files podcast has spent a lot of time dissecting & explaining all the lawsuits going on surrounding it, if you’re curious. Love y’all!
my life's been flipped recently and i'm feeling a lot of emotions but this episode topic couldn't have come at a better time, needed to hear this stuff. thank you 🫶 yall made me smile
I’m 24yrs old and 24 days sober (about half a year ago I was 5 months sober just to try it out) I started partying at a young age and alcohol anymore makes me so so sick. I do not need it to have fun and I finally got over the “I feel like I need to drink when out and about since everyone else is” I know I’m going home feeling good the next day!
I’m not actively trying to be 100% sober, but given the health impact and the way it makes me feel afterwards, I rarely ever drink. I used to drink on special occasions or in a party atmosphere but I realized that every time I drank, I was just relying on the buzz as an easy way to make an event enjoyable. It’s a lot easier now that I’m in my late twenties, but if I know I won’t enjoy an outing/party as it is, I don’t go out or I simply leave when I’ve had my fill of socializing. My husband and friends aren’t drinkers either, so it definitely helps to have people who are willing to play games or just get lunch and then chat at a coffee shop the rest of the afternoon. It’s a bit harder to not drink when there’s an open bar involved or when doing something that would be even more fun if you were drunk (going to a comedy show, karaoke, wedding, etc.), but I remind myself that my skin will look more dull, my stomach will be in shambles for the next two days, and I’ll probably have another embarrassing moment to add to the roster of things that keep me up at night. Also, drinks are SO expensive in the city and I have to remind myself that I could buy something more permanent/fulfilling with the $60 I would’ve spent on drinks.
The ovulation pain is no joke! I struggled for years, not understanding why it was worse than my period. It turns out I have PMDD, a severe form of PMS. After two kids back to back, I'm finally on the road to a full hysterectomy 🎉
47:01 my mom always let me choose my outfits, and they NEVER MATCHED… i would get bullied and made fun of and i didnt really notice, adhd yknow, but one day in 5th grade, this girl was moving schools and she walked up to me and said something alone the lines of “ive always been jealous of how you wear what you want and dont care what people think” abd thats stuck with me to this day, partly bc iy was news to me that i was being made fun of, and partly bc i didnt care. my dad always used to say if my socks werent mis matches, i was sick lol
Alex since you brought it up: TV show update. Thank you for getting me into the pit. I am enjoying it so so much and I told my partner that she should also definitely watch it. Also, I am very excited to see where the hell we go for the rest of season two of severance that new intro is wild and my entire TH-cam home feed is literally reviews and breakdowns of the season so far.
I would love to see a podcast where after a certain period of time, you guys rank a certain number of snacks that you’ve had maybe like midway through the season🤷🏻♂️ but I would definitely watch that episode and buy the ones you guys enjoy the most
This episode is so on point with my life currently. I am on the other side with being pretty much sober but finding that “fun” in my adult life outside of drinking has been kinda difficult. Recently I had this exact convo with my therapist and she essentially said try doing things by yourself that you’re interested in and I have found my list of things I want to do is stuff I did as a kid. Thanks for this episode ❤️
I'm so sad about your stance on the lively/baldoni case... He has the same pr team as depp are we really falling for this again? The video alex is talking about when they were dancing - did we watch the same video??? PLEASE if your going to talk about it don't get your information from social media this topic is way to dangerous for that. Blake surely is no angel but this is so sad to watch, people love to hate on women...
Girlss I'm coming to nyc from Italy at the end of the month, do you have one recommendation for something I should absolutely see or do (also nightlife - I am basically sober but still enjoy going to a bar and get some non-alcoholic drinks haha)? Thank youu, I have been listening to the pod every monday for a few years now❤
Friend, “gyp” is short for the term “gypsy” which is a slur for Romani people who are/were commonly stereotyped and misaligned to be swindlers/cheats/etc. I just wanted to let you know!
can y’all please put like the time you’re past the snacks and drinks. i can’t listen to those sounds, they make my ears hurt 😭 - signed a fan from the start who loves you dearly but can’t listen to people eating or cracking cans open
a lot of the “debunking” is manipulation. example, blake asking for an intimacy coordinator on set AT ALL TIMES & his “debunking” is that they did have an intimacy coordinator- so yes they technically had an intimacy coordinator but that isn’t debunking the fact that she asked for them on set at all times not just during intimate scenes. the video people are seeing as “debunking” her claims because it doesnt look like what people expected it to look like but if you read both blake & justins telling of that video - his is also inconsistent/ blakes is closer to what actually happened. a lot of his “receipts” just shows that at some point they got along which isnt proof since obviously something happened between then and now. as I said a lot of manipulation / not outright “debunking” . it’s really sad to see so many people falling for it as well as the claims that she got her feelings hurt because she was falling for him, the outright fan fiction right there is one of the grossest things to come out of all this imo when at the end of the day it’s a SH case people should be taking a bit more seriously
I’m only a little bit into the episode but had to pause to comment about turtle chips! They have a corn flavor and a churro flavour that I’ve had and they are phenomenal! You have to try!!! They have a bunch of other flavours too, but I haven’t tried them yet, I’m gonna keep my eyes out for the ones you girls just had!
Hey ladies! Long time listener with a request! I as well as some others I know have been moving away from Instagram, Facebook, and Twitter--are you open to making an account on Bluesky? I still wanna be able to see pod updates and entry topics but I no longer check the others socials. Much love and appreciation
Why are y’all not mentioning the proof of the smear campaign Baldoni orchestrated, the fact that Colleen Hoover posted in support of Blake, and most of the cast had unfollowed Baldoni before any of this came out? I don’t think anyone is innocent here but not cool to paint one side of the story that targets the woman :/
And to also invalidate Blake’s experience saying what she is suing for is not true. How would they know if they weren’t there. Perhaps a topic they should dive deeper in before posting the clip of them talking and supporting a man people clearly did not like either.
They seem a little late to the game. So many podcasts have done this and then the following week switch sides. I'm wondering if they'll do an update next week with the opposite take
Hey ladies, happy Monday. I hope y’all had a good weekend. My partner and I had a date day today (Sunday) and she made me a sausage bagel with a scrambled egg on top for breakfast. And for dinner I bought us tacos from our local Hispanic Grandma deli lady to finish off the night we binged a little bit of the TED TV show since we saw that it got renewed for season two.
incorrect. not his lawyer. justin has the same pr person that johnny depp used. and blake lively pr person who represented harvey weinstein. it's no shocker that celebrities use pr people/firms who once represented problematic people. what is a shocker is that you can find instances of blake lively herself defending woody allen.
hey ladies! i’m commenting before you really deep dive into the snacks so if you figure this out - i apologize for the comment but they’re South Korean!
It amazes me how you both continue to be pick-me girls steeped in internalized misogyny. Praising a man who hired Johnny Depp's PR team to launch a smear campaign against Blake while tearing her down is mind-blowing. If you read the lawsuit, you'd see the disgusting texts that PR team sent, planning how easily the public could hate a woman for being a 'diva.' Alex, if you actually watched the full video Justin's team released, he clearly puts his face into her neck-how can you dismiss how uncomfortable that could make someone feel? The truth of this case is still unfolding, but gushing over a man with sexual harassment allegations while bashing a woman for a few moments of attitude? It's insane. If all you've seen are a few TikToks, maybe don't speak on it with such confidence. As a long-time listener, I’m honestly shocked. Despite your supposed growth, you both consistently hype up men while tearing women down-artists, actors, reality stars, it doesn’t matter. You brand yourselves as ‘big sisters,’ but this constant behavior is beyond disappointing.
Came here to see if someone else caught it. There’s way too much news floating between the two cases but to not even bat an eye at the things Blake has in her lawsuit about justin gave me the ICCCCKKKK. and the tone in which they talk about it is very ha ha that sucks for Blake, Justin is totally right. And I don’t like that either.
Girll, I am 27 and my hormones/cycle is the most intense it’s every been! I’m also in NYC, I always wonder how much the cold weather and stuffy indoor environments affect it too. Now, especially during ovulation and on my period. I get dizzy, cramps, body aches, headaches, the whole shebang. Glad (I think?) I’m not the only one! 🙏🏻🫠
I love the fact that you guys have such a good time just talking to each other and like laughing with each other because it makes me want to continue watching and laugh along with you like I damn near. Wish I was there in the room with you just so I could be laughing with you❤

kristin hyping up the snack so hard while also hacking her lungs out is so funny 😂

They’re famous celebs, it’s going to happen no matter what.
@ that doesn’t make it right or okay at all?

Kristen laughing at herself for saying Krampus is taking me outttt 😂

Omg the fact you brought up the ovulating cramping right away! Thats me and i thought i was alone 😔😔
63 days sober. Best decision ever.

I feel like both Blake and Justin are crazy and have both done crazy things.

Is there a Playlist with all the new season song of the days ?
Alex , you look adorable as a little ☺️
She does! Her little smile is so precious 🥹
Thanks for the pod ladiesssss
My misophonia went crazyyyy listen to them talk while eating chips
So I think the obvious answer to Kristen’s 30th theme is: dress as yourself from a pic from your childhood! Alex can do her tweety bird pic!

The chocolate churro ones are incredible.
The way Kristen said yeah you got in trouble😂☺️
Alex , I love your jacket. The design looks so dope.

Kristen!! Where are your glasses from? They're soooo cute. Obsessed.
Kristen! My mom hated wind chimes too growing up I always remember that 😂
LOVE YOU❤❤❤
Killing it as always ladies! 2025 is your year!
😢 no new pod this week?
Dear future me, this is an important message 39:35
Justin Baldoni has the same lawyer Johnny Depp did, and I think that is worth noting.

This seems a bit harsh..
You were a long time listener to “pick me girls”?
Girl please
