This was the first MV they put out ! It was quite iconic since there weren’t really any teasers for the MV, nor did people even know their names at the time ! The members names were then revealed through the Hype Boy MVs (hence why each member has their own MV). All of their music so far has been a call back to the 90s/00s, exploring genres popular during those times with them usually adding something new. Attention was my favourite NJ track right until Super Shy ! They both have similar vibes MV wise ✨ Btw at 13:09 The mirror scene is sort of like a memory back to Minji’s 18th Birthday as it was filmed on that same day. The finger being like a candle and the lipstick being the flame 🕯️
when this debut dropped i was obsessed, i still am, but it was something so different and fresh like- and it was also filmed from where i'm from, barcelona (spain) so :( it was so exciting. from this surprise drop (bc there was NO teaser for the debut), they started promoting hype boy, hurt and then cookie. it was a great time honestly lol i am so glad u got into them because they do not miss, and all their MV's are either aesthetic, have a storyline, or both (normally both). and tneir dancing is amazing too, i recommend u to watch dance practices too bc they're so energetic
I also love to chorus because of the contrast where the verses are so minimal and kind of hallow but then you really have the full melody and harmonies in the chorus
If u do decide to go deeper into new jeans, ditto and omg connect (and I won’t go into detail) where the video storylines tackle parasocial relationships. It’s so refreshing to see themes like this and the production is just amazing

Amazing debut song! I absolutely love it. They really have no songs I dislike. I can legit hit shuffle and like everything that plays.

I saw the video well. There are many great songs by New Jeans, but among them, I think Attention is the song that expresses New Jeans the best.
