I am not a professional translator but for interfans, below is my rough try, not verbatim:
Q1 How do you understand the male protagonist's charm?
A1 Credit is not mine, the director did a good job. I did my best to portray the character, the rest is up to the audience but personally, I don't think I would want to be with Ling Bu Yi if I was a girl. He is not easy to be with.
Q2 Is it difficult to portray the young general Ling Bu Yi?
A2 His inner soul is too complicated, I often wonder what he really wants. He is too extreme be it in matters of love or when seeking revenge. He behaves in an unscrupulous manner to get what he wants without fear of offending those in authority.
Q3 How then do you overcome this?
A3 This drama is an adaptation of the novel. I would take references from the novel to better understand the character's train of thought and the plot. For example, in the part where Ling Bu Yi revealed his real identity, I consolidated the scripts and the original texts from the novel and with the director's consent, we made the lines clearer. I also revised how Ling Bu Yi refers to himself as I felt that he would not address himself as "Ling Mou" [I think this part he meant that Ling Bu Yi's real surname is Huo] so I changed it to "Zai Xia". You will know why if you finish watching the show.
Q4 Do you think the audience is touched by Ling Bu Yi?
A4 Yes of course. Shao Shang met 3 guys at different points in her life. Each with its strengths and I hope the audience will appreciate all of them. Ling Bu Yi's shortcoming is that he is too paranoid. It would be worrisome to be his friend as he is always scheming and that is scary.
Q5 Are you envious of Shao Shang and Ling Bu Yi?
A5 Not really, their love is too painful. It is a beautiful love story where you can derive energy and motivation but not realistic.
Q6 People are asking you to permanently take on period dramas. What do you think of that?
A6 No, please. My hairline is suffering because of the headgear. To be honest, I am going through hair loss recently (because of period drama headgears). The most important thing to me is to maintain my hair volume.
Q7 You were featured singlehandedly carrying Zhao LuSi in one of the scenes. Was that a result of your workout? Was it done in one shot?
A7 It is only normal to carry her with one arm like any man could do that, she is not heavy. It is not one shot, about 7-8 and that is normal. I can't remember the exact number of shots.
Q8 Do you work out every day?
A8 Yes, especially when I played in this drama, I exercised at night after work on a daily basis. Ling Bu Yi does not eat past noon as overeating would make one sleepy and lose focus. He is very disciplined and regimented and at one stage forces Shao Shang to do likewise but soon realizes that was wrong. Don't get me wrong, I do take dinner but by toning my body, you can say I want to be as close to the character as possible. I am also working out now as I am playing a sportsman in my new show.
Q9 Did you acquire any new skills in this period drama?
A9 I feel that I am more accustomed to heat now. I perspired a lot filming this drama.
Q10 There have been changes in the roles that you take for the last few years. Were there times when you hesitate to take on a role?
A10 Yes, it happens all the time because there are many factors to consider before accepting a role. I want to take this opportunity to thank my team and my family for encouraging me and giving me the confidence to accept a role as I was not quite sure I could do it well. After I am done with my current projects, I would take a break to relax.
Q11 As your career progresses, how do you define life?
A11 I will just continue to do my job well and live a purposeful life. As a young man, I get emotional too when I listen to songs. My roles motivate me and provide me with fresh insights into life as I portray them.
Q12 You were quoted to say that you would like to visit WuLan BuTong before you turn 22 years old. Does your 22nd birthday hold any special meaning?
A12 Not really, I don't fancy celebrating birthdays actually. The most memorable thing on my 22nd birthday was making a vlog which I enjoyed.
Q13 You have been in this line for 16 years. Do you think you are a precocious child?
A13 I think I am neither overly mature nor naive. Although I have been acting for 16 years, I still harbour the hope that people will term me a rookie, which will make me happy. I squirmed when younger actors address me as elder brother.
