Whatever happened to the idea of taking pride in the appearance of one's community? It seems that both big cities and small towns have surrendered to apathy about caring for their surroundings.

Pennsylvania is beautiful as long as you stay in the middle Erie New Castle and Pittsburgh be careful where you buy. Lancaster and York closer to the Amish is a smidge safer
Your stats are way off regarding the average cost of a home in West Wendover, NV that you stated is $350,000 as it's only $100,000 according to Zillow. In fact, I believe in another one of your videos you mentioned that you can buy a decent home there for under $100,000.

I know in New York state they do NOT count the prisoners for the population of the town, but they do include all the crimes that happen in prison. So relatively safe towns that have a prison or two look like they have very high rates of violent crime when 90% occur inside the prisons.
Actually they do the little town I have my Summer home in was noted with distinction as having the most diverse community in the North Country. If you do not include the residents of the State Correctional Facility, it isn't.
@@giantgeoff Yes and no. According to a 2010 New York State law prisoners are counted as living in their last known home addresses. But, according to the national census they are still listed where they are incarcerated. So we're both correct.
Why not do a show on larger towns? Like towns of 3,000 to 6,000. They should have all modcons available and a Palmyra store for shopping. In these little towns, more villages, you only show gaa stations and highways. I'd like to see more houses and schools up close.
...I certainly feel bad for the 5 worst small towns in Oregon, but I've been to all of them - some many times - and I wouldn't ever consider living in any of them (and I've lived in some pretty crappy places)...

Makes me feel better being from the UK
I love my littlel village on an island in the middle of the Pacific Ocean.
It's a long video, but I'll get through it just to see rather or not my original hometown/birth place made it onto this list. If it did no surprise. If it doesn't, honestly no surprise. We got an HGTV show for a while and a movie with Matthew McConaughey so there's that I guess
Good job Laurel, MS. You're didn't even make the list.
Hilarious what you said about Casmelia. It’s home to the best steakhouse in the world. And it’s not just my opinion.
I would like to see you do the crime rate & cost of living in Colorado as of 2023/24. I understand that you lived in California at some point
SPA has a special meaning in the West Texas desert so I'm told.
Thanks!
Da nada.
Thank you
