I own expensive blades but only carry them when I want to show them off. I always carry an inexpensive kershaw or Ontario Rat 1or 2 for actual use. I can't bring myself to use the $100+ knives. You definitely touched on this point.

Dapdoi Ardon , LOL! I have actually changed my opinion on this. I now switch between a Spyderco Sage 1, and a Benchmade Rift 950.

Great folder but I would classify any blade with liner locks and conventional old style lock backs as light utility folders.

Why? To what kind of use would you limit them?

Thanks for the review. I ended picking up the g10 scales (rounded and super smooth) 2602 model with the flat grind. It's a real beauty.

Great blade design Israel, I have a Skookum Bush Tool made, its almost excactly like your Enzo knife blade design, it came out exactly at 4", the point is, the shorter blade works alot better than the longer blade, for me, I do find my Busse Son of Badger, my favorite bushcraft knife, only because of the small choil, it's at 4 3/4", the choil makes the a difference for me, but as far as blade design, your Enzo style blade is my favorite, Thanx alot Israel. I will check it out.

    Isreal,
Awesome knife! Watched your vid on the same knife with the Scandi grind about a year ago and after watching the vid I had to purchase the knife. Fact is, I purchased 3 of them, and I did get a CPM S30V blade (Scandi grind) with the curly birch scales. This was a limited knife. Awesome awesome knives! Thanks for the review!

Great video. I have been considering this one for a while, but the 150 price tag has always ended up scaring me off. Now I know what I would be getting. Definitely on my list.

what one do you prefer more or which one is better, I know it all depends on what you're doing but I'm just wondering, so the enzo ffg or the scandi grind, which do you favor,

Niiiice! Beatiful piece of work, thanks for showing this! BTW-off topic somewhat....have you seen or reviewed any of the "new" (er?), Boker Plus fixed-blade line? I saw the "dive knife/dagger review, I was just checking out some of their mid-sized fixed blades, they have a few pretty sweet-looking knives in that category. I have no problem whatsoever with 440c (especially Boker's) & for the amount of cash involved....these ALL look good! A few that jumped out at me were, the Coye Ridgeback, or Tom Krein Bulldog, or Boker's version of the American Cami- Colubris, I also saw the Boker + Sal Manaro tanto....looks pretty nice too (the handle looks like my all-time favorite, Fred Perrin style i.e. Street Beat/Bowie...best handle shape EVER! -I.M.O.). If you have any knowledge, to enlighten a brother with, it will be much appreciated-as always! Thx bro...cheers

Skottie Fain They do make some good fixed blades, with unique blade shapes. The last high quality one I got was the Kressler Sub-Hilt, the full sized one, is was also 440C and was very good. I haven't tried any of the ones you mentioned, but I wouldn't hesitate on any if you like the blade shape, it's hard to mess up a fixed blade!

d2 steel, S30V or N690 I'm going to get the Enzo trapper and I wanted to know which steel I should get, I have the enzo folder with S30V and it's worked out great for me....thanks in advance

I have 3 Benchmades in s30v. One problem though, is the difficulty in sharpening. When you sharpen a scandi grind, you have to remove 4 times more material to maintain the original grind vs. a normal bevel. If you are free-hand sharpening a S30V scani grind, you are likely to end up convexing the edge. D2 should be easier to sharpen though, so it will be easier to maintain the angle of the scandi grind.
If you want the scandi grind, go with D2.
If you want the flat grind with bevel, do S30V
Properly sharpening a S30V scandi grind without a good sharpening system to maintain the original angle will be hard.

first of all, whats your opinion on them? im going for the dojo-pro model 18.
another question, should i order from the ronin website or kult of athena? is kult of athena any good? cheers! Also only if you know, WHERE does kult of athena ship from?

    • @WeAllJuggleKnives

mackan6851 I'd order from Kult of Athena, they always send an e-mail with the tracking information so you know where yo'r stuff is. I haven't tried the Ronin but everyone I know tells me they are good.

You seem to really like these Enzo Birk folders. They are great. It’s a shame you feel like being rude. Oh well. Since I don’t know you and never did anything to you, I think your anger is transferred or misplaced from something else. Might want to relax a bit. Whatever you’re angry at, I’m pretty sure it wasn’t really because some total stranger said one thing you disliked about a pocket knife. Thanks for watching and have a great day. You should pick up one of these knives, might cheer you up a bit.

    • @kalanyosjozsef2601
      @kalanyosjozsef2601 7 ปีที่แล้ว

I just wanted to correct you as you said easy instead of light when you were on about the weight of the knife.did not mean to be rude sorry man.
yeah I want one but can not find the flat grind cf with s30v.
It is very hard to get most of the knives here in the uk thanks to the stupid laws and when you find one
you pay a lot more than you would in America or anywhere else.
      thats my anger
