    First I will like to commend this video lecture. It was quite educative. Does it means the vent 1 should be designed against the direction of wind movement? Please do clarify me.

    What's the best orientation? East to west or north to south for the length side of the greenhouse?

    Can roof 2 be the higher roof instead of roof 1? Great video

    • @MCAgriTech
      @MCAgriTech  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Please note that 1 is the vent area. As long as the prevailing wind is passing over the higher side of the roof first, then it doesn't matter which side is higher. The prevailing wind should pass over the higher side of the roof before it passes the lower side to pull air out of the greenhouse.

    What is this kind of greenhouse with a vent area between the roof called? I would like to read up on it. Is there a website link with info about this kind of greenhouse?

    • @MCAgriTech
      @MCAgriTech  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      This is a gable roof design which is adaptable in tropical conditions. You can do a Google search and look up the designs and you will get information regarding this type.

    • @JayC-xh5yv
      @JayC-xh5yv 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@MCAgriTech oh thanks. What if the the longer part of the greenhouse is facing the prevailing wind? For example, if the back of the green house is in the direction where the prevailing wind is coming from.

    • @MCAgriTech
      @MCAgriTech  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@JayC-xh5yv If you orient the green house like that, then the passive air movement that you mostly want will not occur as how it should. What I mean is, the wind passing over the greenhouse should help with removal of hot air or general recirculation of air however, if the wind is blowing into the vent area then you can imagine that the hot air inside the greenhouse will not move out of the greenhouse as it should.
