next year I will buy a vacant lot and build a house for my fiance's parents. thanks marie for your videos. I wander why all houses have have tall wall? and what is the cause of those dusty and soily road in cameroon?
Good job. You can go to montée des sœurs, maisons blanches, montée jouvence, odza entrée complexe beac, odza koweit. There are also beautiful houses there. And the area is clean clean
If this is really a rich neighborhood in Cameroon with these incomplete buildings and unpaved roads then Cameroon is so underdeveloped and far behind as opposed to other African countries. It can’t even be compared to other places on the continent ,I’m just being honest .
Yes Cameroon is underdeveloped we all know right? I said upcoming not rich neighbourhood and i can't compare because all what i show here is done by private individuals, i admire Africans who are striving to improve their country in one way or another than those who condemn but have nothing to show for it so I can't talk down on people's efforts😃 thanks for watching
The place presented in the video call Mendong is not a "rich neighborhoods". Regular people (teachers, nurses, doctors, lawyers etc) are buying land to build their house there. My brother is also building his house own in Mendong not far from where the video was made. We saw the same video, almost nobody lives there yet since the houses are still being built. I think what she meant is upon completion (which implies public lighting, roads etc) that neighborhood will definitely not be considered a slums rather a neighborhood for the middle class. Based on the type of houses I know are being built in Mendong right now, I can assure you that upon completion that neighborhood wouldn't be considered a poor neighborhood everywhere in Africa regardless of what African country you want to use as standard.
In Cameroon, there are so many middle klass area who have very big houses;and you find that in many different cities; the only prolem in cameroon are roads . Cameroonians are constructing too much.
I confirm, if the government really helped in road construction, this country would have been in another level . The demographic of each region constantly changing

Your videos are really helpful. They give one a perspective of the kinds of areas one may consider buying land.

Yaounde is dusty, there are other parts of Cameroon that are not, oh your fiancee is Cameroonian no wonder 😂
Is Victorine your fiancee?

C'est vraiment dommage car c'est l'une des grosses carences dans nos quartiers. La voirie est le maillon faible du développement urbain au Cameroun
