The Weeknd immensely help shape the sound of Take Care but the songs that did best on his album in the billboards were Take Care, Make me Proud, Marvin's Room,The Motto all songs The Weeknd didn't help out in. Then from then on the rest of his albums The Weeknd had no influence at all on him. Safe to say Drake would be more or less in the same position he is now.

Second of all without The Weeknd there would be no Take Care but without Drake there would be no Weeknd, it was a mutual benefit. Third of all every song The Weeknd helped out in is credited on the album and Marvin's room is def not one of them just listen to the shit The Weeknd sang about during that time of his life and and look at Marvin's Room. Two completely different set of minds The Weeknd basically saying all women are sluts and how fucked up he gets at parties and Drake saying women are delicate flowers.
I got into The Weeknd super fucking late, around fall of 2016. I soon learned almost all the lyrics to all of his songs, I then found out he helped out with half of Take Care, which is basically my favorite Drake album.
Me 2, I knew his singles playing all the time on the radio but I didn't know much about him, his albums, first time my ex gf showed me him before Starboy release (month before) it was first time I ever heard "In the night", "Adaption", "Shameless", we were driving a car for hours listening to his music, spending time on back, making love, being together for half night, damn. Now it's almost 5 months since she broke up with me, we were 2 years together and everytime I listen to Abel's songs I have flashbacks about her, still waiting for Chapter 6!

This is not the "original" song that was gonna be used in HOB. The beats that you hear throughout the song were the beats created by 40 for the song that we know today. This is just the regular song with drakes part taken out and The Weeknd's second verse put in. His original song was much slower

i dont know why but I feel like trilogy is just perfect, nothing to ad or subtract. Its just perfect the way it is imo. Abel did an incredible job filtering all of the content he had. This song wasn't destined to be on any of the 3 mix tapes and in some way trilogy wouldn't have been the same with this particular song in it. So maybe thats good?
