I drove a 89 Thomas number 52. Every time i put the pedal down i floored it! Loved to hear the gear climbing and Those brakes. When I drove for Chesapeake schools
There's simply nothing that sounds like the Ford 6.6/7.8L engine. It's got a sound all its own and such a beautiful deep roar, with that pedal pushed down while it's climbing through the gears. I graduated HS in '96. My daily was a '91 6.6L. There were about half a dozen in the fleet, while one O/O decided to opt for the 7.8L. It sounded as though it had a bit lower idle, but it wasn't any quicker. lol

those ford buses were so damn loud compared to fs-65s and 3800s from that same era
That is a nice Thomas Ford B700
Those Fords are the best, better than CEs, Visions, and C2s for sure
I used to live in Juneau Alaska and laid law brought 15 1995 blue bird TC 2000s with the 5.9 Cummins in them
5.9 6BT
Man they got to make these nice buses again because they don't make nothing like they used to
