      I lived in Skyway/Rainer Beach area for about 2 years. Some would probably call it the Hood, but I loved it there more than anywhere else I've lived. Shit obviously went down there, but if you show love and respect, you get it 10 fold back from the community. I miss it.

      @@dallasbagley I live in skyway and was involved in a school lockdown in skyway cuz of a shooting. Not only that I saw 2 dead bodies in skyway. I also hear gunshots every night with drive by shootings happening more.

    Interesting....here we have a video on the worst neighborhoods in Seattle, they talk about the homeless problem, but at the same time not one of the areas named was the downtown.

Lots of pride, Black owned businesses etc. I've lived in a lot of places. The hood, the country, the burbs etc. Skyway was my favorite, and I miss it sometimes.

    Clearly if you have a million dollars you can live anywhere. Also, the neighborhoods listed aren’t all Seattle. Renton and Tukwila are not Seattle.

    Gentrifying isnt always a cleanse....it could also be kind of a castaway for the struggling communities that mainly reside in these areas.

    Bro I went to visit and you 100% right! Seattle’s neighborhoods is like watching gentrification in motion. There’s something amazing, sad, beautiful, and tragic all the same time. It sure gives a lot of mixed emotions but I’m definitely thinking of buying property down in Seattle now.

    A guy from Idaho, pretending to be an expert on Seattle, who uses the word gentrification as a positive thing and doesn't have enough self-awareness to realize that calling people bums makes him look like a horrible human and a horrible sales professional who does realize that his words are costing him sales opportunities.
    If you too look down on other human beings, prefer living in the suburbs, and want 'expert' advice from someone who is clearly not an 'expert'....this just might be the guy to help you facilitate the largest transaction of your life.

    Been living in Seattle for 35 years. So yes, old Seattle was nice let's say.. compare 10 yrs ago and it's going down hill. No people, Seattle not cleaning up! Seattle, anywhere in Seattle is bad or outside near Seattle is a mess too! City Counsil sucks! Seattle built tiny home communities but I still see lots of tents popping up everywhere! Freeway are full of grafitti. People getting shot, businesses getting trashed windows broken, schools (SPS or suburban school nearby) are horrible. Too social political nonsense in schools. Not enough stuff kids really have to learn. Kids are so behind in math! Got crime happened? Call 911 for police? Good luck, wait hrs for them to show up! . . Only place really safe is where the rich people are like Million $ homes. LOL! No, you can't avoid the bums! I live in a fairly nice quiet nieghborhood in the Seattle C.D. area and I still sometimes see stringes on my street. They are making streets smaller for cars harder to drive in and saving those lanes for bikers (it rains a lot in Seattle 75% and not a lot of bikers.. those bike lanes are most of the time empty! LOL!) and cost is living is getting worse. A ten yr old kid just got hit by a car! Hit &run! Luckly the kid is alive but badly injured. No, Seattle is not for safe for family.

    Million dollar neighborhood have homeless campers in the bushes. Very high property crime rates with that mcmansion. Be ready to have your car prowled, burglary and poop on your walk

    • @tonitalks267
      @tonitalks267 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes, petty crime. It’s not violent crime which is what crime rates are usually based on.

    • @redgh0st

      @@tonitalks267 Not sure I want to spend a million $$ to live with property crimes, car prowl, burglery, assaults walking home from the store. Rape and murder is rare, I concede, but is taking place more with the increase in density. Nobody wants to speak of the dangers of using the Burke Gillman trail, but I forbid my kids from using it.

    This video is shameful and uniformed. I lived in the bougie neighborhoods in North Seattle and moved to South Park. You mention how great Greenlake is, but seem clueless to the fact it’s literally on Aurora, - Seattle residents have long considered it on of the shadiest stretches of road in Seattle. furthermore, there are more registered sex offenders living in Ballard than the number 1 sketchy neighborhood you listed, South Park.
