Thanks again Marc. I feel very refreshed watching and listening to this lesson and although I can't state what I feel here. I think I may be able to post up a new and fresh TH-cam video because of it. ( Sorry about that bit. ) Cheers again. Will.
I don't usually comment, but was moved to by this lesson - it has to be one of the very best I have ever seen on TH-cam - thank you so much for what you do, Marc! Cheers from Australia.
Marc-Andre - your videos have come a long way in visual and content quality! Great advice - decluttering the brain when improvising using your clear steps. Merci encore !
Hi Marc the improvise tutorial is fantastic, clear, concise and makes sense. Now it's time to see if I can implement it, make the changes, drill the process and get creative and hopefully start to sound like Jazz. Thank you.
Marc, very good I heard you previously say "target the third" but I didn't really know HOW to target the third This gives me a method - and I know this will be modified as I hope to advance - but it is a good method to start
Great teaching, and method. If anybody wants to practice with a real drummer, I am uploading on my channel different drums tracking tracks, featuring a real drummer and no loops! Enjoy!
Hi Peter, I have a recommended 7-stage process that you can use to learn jazz standards, which of course includes exercises and etudes. It's available here for free: www.skool.com/jazz-guitar-fellowship And don't hesitate to post questions there as fellow members are eager to help each other :)
Hi Marc I love this lesson. Just a question, if we target Bflat a semitone from above for the G7 chord, should we not be playing B instead of C ? Thanks for the hard work you put in.
This is an awesome lesson, as I'm one of the intermediate struggling jazz guitarists that you talked about in the beginning. My only criticism is that your cursor arrow was constantly in the middle of the screen, (especially on your face), and was a little distracting. However, this was minor and the content was excellent!
I'm sure the answer to my question is in here somewhere, but I'll ask anyway, I consider myself an in betweener just as you describe, moreso in a blues arena, so that probably makes me a pre beginner in jazz improvisation arena, will your process work for myself and others in my stage of guitar?

I appreciate your kind words :)
Excellent lesson, Marc. Thanks so much!
Thank you too!
Marc - another great example of reducing the complex to simplicity. After the first thousand times it gets automatic.
It gets easier, as they say :) Thanks, Don!

Great lesson Marc, thank you so much :) Do you have any suggestions on the DRILL DRILL DRILL part? Like exercises, etudes, etc? TIA

Great information! What software are you using in this video to show the chords, then transpose etc
iReal Pro :)
I love DEATH METAL ☝️
Hi Marc I love this lesson. Just a question, if we target Bflat a semitone from above for the G7 chord, should we not be playing B instead of C ? Thanks for the hard work you put in.
The target note is B, and a semi tone above is C
🤷♂️
If the target tone is different, then we adjust, yes.

Thank you for your advice :) This screen capture lesson is a new format and I'll have to take this into consideration.
What is the cost after the free 1 on 1? I couldn’t find it on your webpage.

Yes! Many students in my class started with blues like yourself :)
