    Nice run bro! As a fellow hammer user, this is the kind of gameplay I want to do! I Hope to get to this kind of level soon!

    Subscribed now. Like most i didn't like the impact crater being the better option in Rise but am glad that impact burst is not that far behind. IC may do more damage but the other can be consistent. Iam making my hammer set tomorrow! Thank you and i will look forward for more of your runs! 👍

    Also, I really dont like impact crater spam so I really enjoyed playing impact burst strength hammer. And im really glad to see you run that too, and good to know its close to impact crater in terms of damage, as i've always thought it was much more weaker.

      Impact Crater is still the best damage, but it is also the least consistent style. Missing just one hit of Impact Crater is a giant loss of damage + losing two Wirebugs. These Strength and Courage playstyles I am pushing, revolving around Impact Burst, not only are much more consistent, they are also not reliant on having 3 Wirebugs at all, and are still very close in damage to Impact Crater spam.

      @@dynamo_lynn I'm on your team! Impact burst playstyle is so much more fun. I always feel bad when missing the impact crater due to flinches and that turned me off the playstyle in rise after a while.

      @@dynamo_lynn Is Impact Burst a big part of making up the gap? Would playing as you would normally but using Impact Crater on more guaranteed openings not be worth it? Or are you avoiding Impact Crater out of principle? Regardless, really happy to see craterless viable, I was a huge fan of Hammer in World and base Rise really turned me off of it, but I've been having a blast with it in Sunbreak once more (albeit playing Courage since it's very fresh and finally good). Looking forward to more runs!

      @@yarigumo8798 It is out of principle. Like I said, I am pushing these playstyles to show that Hammer is the best designed weapon in Sunbreak right now, with everything with it viable (with the exceptions of a few of its Switch Skills). Another speedrunner named BlazeMH does this with me.

    I'm a new hammerbro after doing GS for ages, have we largely dropped impact crater? I've mostly been using courage but this was absolutely ridiculous to watch!

      Impact Crater is still alive. A speedrunner named BlazeMH and myself are pushing this new gameplay involving Hammer's standard moves and Impact Burst and we are getting competitive times against Impact Crater spam, showing that hammer can be played in many different ways in this game ;)

    So what would you say is better impact burst or impact crater ? I see that in some of your videos you use impact burst more.

      Because I'm pushing a playstyle for Strength and Courage Hammer that don't use Impact Crater at all, and the times I've got so far are very competitive with Impact Crater spam so far.

      @@goldentyrant4822 Impact Crater is still the strongest but it's also less consistent. The animation in general is very long and if the monster moves just a little or flinches you're losing two wirebugs and tons of damage.
      This playstyle is much more consistent, is not reliant on having 3 wirebugs at all, and the damage is not too far behind Impact Crater.

    Is doing strength charged level 3 better than going into big bang combo on a downed monster?
    Also, focus 3 on strength hammer? The general consensus is not to use focus because you cannot get level 2 charge consistently. Then again, I think in rise the running level 3 charge is usually more useful than the level 2 upswing, though upswing lets you cancel into water strike being the only upside to it.

      3 Charged level 3 is what I've found to be the optimal damage for the total duration Ibushi is stunned+wakes up after its stun.
      As for Focus, that is correct. It was generally accepted that Focus is bad/strange on Hammer because it throws off your Charge level 2 timings. However the point of Strength Hammer is to get as many Charge level 3 in as possible due to its extremely high damage and KO (buffed in Sunbreak significantly). So if you reach level 3 faster that means more openings that weren't possible before.

      I'm using skills that increase my attack the lower my HP is. I got hit on purpose and didn't heal on purpose ;)

      @@dynamo_lynn I didn't look at the skills but I assume heroics and maybe resentment as well? Great run, really smooth gameplay. Unlike my aerial hammer shenanigans in Iceborne hahaha
