- I am so excited for these Rays TE37XT M-Spec wheels (-20 offset) on my 2022 Toyota Tacoma TRD Pro. Wrapped in 285/70r17 BFGoodrich KO2 tires… it’s just a perfect look in my opinion! I’m obsessed. It required some trimming to make them work, but it was worth it!
Few more mods to come for my 22 Tacoma TRD Pro here… looking forward to sharing more. As always, let me know if you have any questions. Happy to help!

Hmmm.... My tatse: Tacoma TRD Pro OEM wheels for '21 and the '22 version (as you said in your own initial video) are some of the best looking wheels out there, period. And they are LIGHT (hope your custom ones are light?). Your heavier tire choice is also not helping your gear hunting either. I really don't have many gear hunting issues on my 21 OR DC (I put '21 Tacoma TRD pro wheels on it - again the LOOKS! Also carrying through the tasteful red accent theme of TRD. I prefer 16" rims too.)

Too big in my opinion. But not horrible.
Pls get some ADVANCED Wheel locks for these beauties. The Rays wheel locks are pretty much useless (if you opt’d for them).
I just put TE37s Progressive on the wifey’s GX, she loves them. Feels, handles and rides so much nicer. (Took 9 months)
And I’m sure prying eyes to potential thieves will love them too…
Do you think you could get away with running the rok block mud flaps on the front since they are so thin?

Looks fantastic and thanks for the in depth explanation of trimming/fitment issues. Aiming for 275s and hoping I don't have to do any cutting with zero offset wheels. That's fingers crossed though...

The OEM wheels do look great! I’ll keep you in mind if I ever decide to sell them. For now I plan to hold onto them.

I noticed the lugs you used were aluminum. Careful with those as the metal is much softer than steel and can have some issues in the future - seizing onto steel studs, stripping, etc. Being the OEM lugs were extra thread type - switching to aftermarket wheels reduces the amount of thread engagement. Look into the McGard spline drive which has a rotating collar to not scuff the wheels or the Rays Hex 17 steel lug nuts. Project Kics has some offerings, but come at a significant cost.

Agreed! And yeah the white lettering is definitely not for everyone… it’s literally a 50/50 split I’ve noticed. Either you love it or hate it hah.
Centering tire lettering is an overlooked detail. It can really bring the whole wheel and tire together. I always did it with bicycles. I'd center the tire label with the valve stem.
Do you think 275s would have cleared? Your Trd pro is stock height right? Looks very sharp👍🏼💪🏼

I have the same truck and I had the wescott design lift installed. I used method 305s with a 0 offset. Wrapped in 275/70/17 Nitto ridge wrapplers. No rubbing at all. I even kept the mud flaps.
Best wheels ever made in my opinion had te37s on my evo integra and next tundra super fresh my guy 👍 congrats

Wheels look really good! Curious to see the center caps. A little semi gloss black on the center of the rear drums will look tight til your caps come in then we will see what we got!

Looks good Untamed, but as clean as you keep your vehicles you are going to go crazy with the road spray and mud that setup will fling up the side! But it does look great!👍🏻
Haha oh I know! Already dreading that a bit. However, my inbound RSH rock sliders might help a little with blocking that.

Very little road noise, no rubbing either… smooth handling. Lost 2 MPGs with this setup though. I’m very impressed with it overall.
How much everything lines up is so satisfying and the lug nuts matching make it go that much better! Some people Heath gun that front part to keep gunk out, not sure how good it look though? Great video!

Mine has 3-2 lift with 285-70-17 tires, with black trd pro 4Runner wheels. No rubbing on full turns at all even with front oem mud guards. Like your new set up.
how does this compare to the Hilux?
I thought everytime he did the white lettering on the outside on his other vehicles especially the lunar rock 4runner looked so good but with the lime rush it doesnt look as good. Personally I would’ve just done the black on black look with the lime rush and prefer the oem look and wheels compared to this. Would’ve done the 285s wrapped on the stock trd wheels. Love the updated trd wheels toyota used for the new tacoma trd pro and trail edition bronze wheels. But these wheels look good too, just not a fan of the white lettering outside with the lime rush.

Some metal aftermarket bumpers could solve any rubbing issues just saying... haha the new wheels look nice

Have you thought about grabbing the Westcott designs lift? Should take care of the rubbing and level the front end nicely. Love the wheels, that offset though… going to start flinging some rocks! Time to get it in the dirt!
Good that they are light. Bad that they are not really an off road wheel. Are you going more for look than function? I'm sure you know that all that negative offset is going to accelerate the wear of front end suspension/steering components and the rear axle bearings as well.
Those rims look amazing bro! Congratulations on them.. if your looking for something more permanent other than the zip tie Lowes has a whole section of car Rivets that I used on my TRD OFF for that same reason.. just drill the whole to fit the size…Have a great weekend enjoy that awesome Tacoma!!!

Truck looks awesome! You won’t regret the -20 offset. I went with the stealth custom f5 with a -25. The stance is perfect. Making me want to upgrade to these lol

Rays; best wheel manufacturer in the business. And the wheels you have are much better than the same wheel they offer with the pin stripe going all around. So Kudos.
I've never been a fan of white lettering on tires. And without the white lettering on the tires, the volk decals would stand out a bit more, which I favor. With that said, if you're going to have white lettering on the tires, I'd center them the way you did.

Awesome and loves the te37, wish I could afford it down the road. I would definitely do the same with the white lettering and aligned it with the wheels
