I absolutely love Rafa, it's painful that he's manager of Everton but I honestly can't dislike him. What he did for Liverpool was amazing, he revitalized the club.

As a Liverpool fan it's so nice seeing rival fans finally wake up and see him for the absolute gentleman that he is (and always was). I think he was quite unlucky during his time at Liverpool that he had Fergie as his rival, who could literally say anything and the media/the LMA manager union would lap it up. Even the 'Rafa rant' that has been immortalised and mocked by United fans since day one was slightly skewed -I think Liverpool won something like 8 of their next 10 matches, including a 4-1 spanking of United at their own ground.
Absolute legend and even though he's at Everton, he'll always have a special place in our hearts!

Both are legendary managers. I think Jose is better suited to top clubs like Inter and Chelsea whilst Rafa gets everything out of players at Everton, Newcastle and Liverpool and doesn't start sulking and complaining when things go bad. Rafa is a better manager now.
Regardless of his previous, thought his appointment as Everton manager was a no brainer. Family home in the area, is very at home there. No risk even if it doesn’t work out, but also believed he would put us in a position to win things. Started well and already winning over the faithful

@@eplalan6092 how did Bruce get more points per season. Two seasons Rafa was in charge in PL you got 45 PTS and 44pts. The past two seasons with Bruce in charge 45pt and 44pts. If you add this season (Bruce's 3rd season) then yes he's had more points because it's more games. What was Bruce's net spend in the two seasons compared to Rafa? I'm a Liverpool fan btw so I may be looking through rose tinted glasses.

He's making very careful and clever transfers. Gray and Townsend for £1.5 mil combined and they've already got about 12 goals contributions. If he can do this much with this little money imagine what he can do when we can spend the money.

Rafa is doing so well at Everton. Ancelotti couldn't see we needed wingers and bottled games at home because our midfield was full of snails like Gomes, Sigurdsson, James and Allan. Now we have hard working wingers with pace and end product the whole team is better. Only spent £1.7 mil too.
