    Mine have UV-5RH on that lower label and on the back. The manual says BF-5RH though. An important difference is that the transmit is a whole lot cleaner than I've seen on the older UV-5R with the 2nd harmonic 50dB down using the stock antenna. Using one of those cheap AR-771 antennas the power is down 9dB but the 2nd harmonic is completely gone (lost in the noise) so might be a good option for ham events where there will be a lot of band usage.

My UV-5RH came with 2M 1.25 and 70cm all three are transmit capable... along with the "listen only" bands. Does the "BF" model transmit on 1.25? As far as I know Europe doesn't have a 1.25 amateur band. I believe the 1.25 is a business or Gov't band in Europe.

    A ht should have inductive charging and bluetooth to function with a bt headset, waterproofness would be good too. Some smartphones for like 345€ can do that, amateurradio producers like the big three or these chinese brands are all always lacking and behind in that regard.

    Which one is better, UV5RH, UV17 or UV21?

      I personally prefer the uv-17 pro GPS which is the most versatile radio with the biggest feature set. As long as transmitting on 1.25 meters isn't a priority for you then the 17pro GPS does it all imo

    How do I clone from my UV5R to my UV5RH? Can anyone help with this?

    • @bigwill4423
      @bigwill4423  10 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      I think you can only clone a single frequency as far as I am aware? Best way would be to use chirp as the BF-5RH is now supported in chirp though you have to select uv17pro radio.

    In the title and at 3:20 it states that the UV-5RH covers airband, which I cannot find any other source claiming. All other sources state this is only a tri-band. Anyone have evidence to the contrary?

      There are indeed two versions of this radio. The UV5-RH is the Tri band version with NO airband BUT the BF-5RH is multiband WITH airband....be careful when ordering from www.baofengradio.co.uk or other sites because both versions are available and you need to order the correct one depending on your requirements.
