We lived in Montana for eight years and loved it. Had to move because of my job transfer.. I remember talking to an older man who said " Younger folks are in such a hurry to get out of Montana, then they're in such a hurry to move back!" True...

Missing Montana so much right now. Stuck in the midwest. This made me cry. Love you Bozeman Hot Springs, Yellowstone, and the time spent alone on my Motorcycle.

My soul never belonged on the east coast. I understand why my great grandfather stayed around new York but I will never understand how he felt whole there, maybe he didn't. Mountains is where we can from and it's where my soul lay's now. Montana is my home

My opinion, I don't think he did feel whole, those skyscrapers and steel and glass towers pale and shudder in comparison to real raw roaring cliffs and mountains, how they tower over us in their granduer and might, that is dearer to me than the Bank of America Tower and the Crysler Building

I spent the summers of 1965-1969 waiting tables at MMI. Gardiner was a great place. Now, I only wish I'd stayed there and married the rancher's daughter. Have returned many times. Remember "Tipee" and the bar with a teepee sign? The "hot pots?" Inner tubing down the Yellowstone starting at Point of Rocks and ending up at the Wanagan for some homemade peach pie? Waving at Mrs. Nichols as her limo' drove by? Chasing bears out of the boy's dorm lobby when someone left the door open? Sarge' Perdue the dorm dad? "Stagecoach" the night watchman? Art Bazata the head of Park food service? Janet Murdock the cantankerous laundry dorm dorm mom? The Ammerman's? It was the best of times.....

Keith Rodgers uses the music as his intro on his show on RBN. Love the song. Great purchase.

Thank you for sharing this piece of Montana music. For some reason I find myself learning this (If I can figure out the chords) and can see myself sitting with friends around a campfire playing and singing. Always fun to discover music that seems to capture a bit of our home here in Montana.

This song is the 2nd track on Side B of The Lazy B Wranglers “Sing songs of the old west”
Just found and bought the album on ebay $7.00 - haven’t listened to this since 1968.
    Priceless.

Another amazing aspect of Montie Montana Junior's entertainment career. He was also a private pilot. After a brief illness, Montie passed away not long ago in Springville, CA. He will be sorely missed by many and certainly by me who was most honored to be his friend.

As someone who is originally from Montana, this song means so much to me. The album is not on streaming services and I can’t find the record online or in store. Does anyone know how I can listen to the whole album?
