Compared to the ""the good old days""", there are just so so many words, from every human being in the world with screens and electronic devices, including Popes, that the need for solid hermeneutical principles is great. Once again, Dr Kwasniewski speaks really well, and plainly, in this interview. I hope he has a long life so as to continue as a solid guide for Catholics, and those who might become Catholics.
Great interview The problem with the modern Popes speaking publicly is the modern media. To the average person , when they see a Pope talking about a particular subject, that opinion becomes Church teaching, it becomes in practice an “ex cathedra” statement.
Like the systems of royal families ,long historical systems,how you replace it by revolution or dialogue. Lastly the problem is what you replace it with.
As an EI this is extremely interesting, even fascinating. I’m almost dumbfounded. So, what is the papacy I ought to accept since the one presented to me my whole Christian life isn’t what’s being advocated here? This is actually an honest question since it comes across that trads don’t like Francis so are redefining the papacy. But that’s not so? Serious here.

Politics and religion are power based. You have liberalism conservatives and centre parties democratic. Same in Roman hierarchical system. Vatican 2 is ok for the liberals,not the conservative kind
Only a substantial change if the Filioque is incompatible with Trinitarian dogma, which it isn't (unless you are far more brilliant than Augustine and Aquinas).
