    Public Service Announcement. Lensbaby lenses are addictive. I will be exploring a whole bunch of them on some of my channels in the coming weeks.

    Just picked up mine this week. Already took it out out here in San Francisco for a trial run and I'm loving the results. Question - can you use the drop-in apertures on other optics besides the 50mm that came with the kit?

      The drop in aperture discs can be used in any of the optics that have magnets to hold them in place. Of the current optics that includes the Double Glass II, Soft Focus II & the Creative Bokeh optic.

    Cool!! This is a sweet 50 with additional drop in creative aperture kit? I did really enjoy the video- the magnetism magic line did make me laugh 😂

      There are a few other differences but yes it has the same optical design as the Sweet 50.

    I have the original DG, it is one of my favourite lenses, along with most of the original optic swap lenses, is there any advantage to getting the mirrorless Composer Pro II body over just using an adapter? Specifically talking about Canon RF.
    Here, I am not able to get the Composer Pro II without an optic.

    7:05 Drop in apertures with shapes. Mixing up 3 shapes is not infinite options. This is 18 options.
    I remember Lensbaby had an amazing fisheye lens.

    Do these optics have filter threads for typical filters? If so, what size?

    I actually emailed you (lensbaby) years ago trying to track down another Double Glass optic as mine got scuffed banging around in one of those plastic case things but they were discontinued. I bought the recommended newer "creative bokeh" optic but there was just something different about it.
    This looks sweet with the aperture built in.

      Thanks for reaching out. The DGII uses the same optic as the Sweet 50 lens it is just a fully metal build with 12 aperture blades built in, 46mm threads & the ability to insert the creative bokeh aperture discs.
      The Creative Bokeh is more in line with our original Single Glass optic. The DGII is easier to focus than the Creative Bokeh & will produce a more contrasty and detailed sweet spot at the brightest apertures.
      Please feel free to email us at customerhappiness@lensbaby.com with further questions.

    What's the difference between this and the Sweet lens?

    • @LensbabyUSA
      @LensbabyUSA  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The DGII & the sweet optics use the same optical design whilst the DGII has a internal protective filter, & the sweet optics a front filter. The DGII has a fully metal build & the ability to use the drop in aperture discs.

    What's the difference between the Double Glass II and the Sweet 50mm? Are the magnetic snap in apertures the only meaningful difference?

    • @LensbabyUSA
      @LensbabyUSA  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      The DGII has an all metal build with a protective internal filter but the same optical design as the Sweet 50. The biggest difference is the ability to use the bokeh aperture discs with it.
