I think their price hikes are outrageous.I used to like exploring this fragrance line. Now not so sure but very curious of what Francis Kurkdjian will release under the brand
Yeah, I won’t be buying. I think it’s pretty tone-deaf to be profiteering during this era and I won’t support it. So many people lost businesses and jobs due to the disastrous consequences of the Covid policies. There’s some really rough economic times ahead.
They have increased their prices by 35% in three years… LVMH is actually strealing from their customers pretending it is cause of thé crisis. So sad that a lot of great people are working with lvmh and thinking that it is ok to sell a 40€ ( including all manufacturing and commercial costs) bottle for 250€. So sad cause dior has always been my favorite Brand for 20 years now…. But man thé prices, nothing can justify that for designer and major actor on thé market (meaning they Should be cheaper and not more expensive).
Dune p.h. has been my signature scent since the late 90s, until the Homme line was introduced, and I have a bunch of fig fragrances (Balade, Premier edt, Philo, Fig Infusion, Ferragamo) . To me, Dune is still the easiest to wear out of all of them because of the sandy woodiness. I look forward to trying it because I could see it replacing a few that I never reach for anymore.
I just tried Dioriviera and at first I was WOW , spicy figgy almost chypre . It’s v long lasting on my skin but now the dry down is Santal 33 . V persistent . 😮😢
I recently purchased Carven Paris Santorin, which is a fig-dominant fragrance for 65U$D, so this sounds 1. similar and 2. too pricey for this economy. Thanks for the review, very helpful.
This sounds very nice. I need to get my hands on some samples soon, I'm so far behind on Dior Prive fragrances it's ridiculous. I've been on a green kick lately, plus I'm trying to add more fresh scents to my collection because that's something I'm definitely short on.
Sounds promising and likeable, though I will not run out to get it because of the current pricing. I’ll wait it out some more until FK comes up with something more exciting for Dior so it will be worth getting a full bottle. I’m happy with the only Dior in my collection, Fève Délicieuse, still boxed and waiting for fall/winter. In terms of fig (or the impression of such), I’m content with my Fig-Tea from Nicolai Parfumeur.😊
I picked up Fico di Amalfi in the Paris airport in summer (as the most appealing, and what I thought would be versitile, of the bunch) after smelling the Acqua di Parma line for the first time. I still have it to this day and never ended up ever wearing it. I sniff the bottle occasionally, but I realized I just don't find myself ever finding an occasion for fig. I think the only time I even come close to putting it on is on rainy days. When I later smelled Philosykos I knew it wasn't for me. I do absolutely adore the jammy rose that MFK showed off in L'Homme À la Rose however.
Thanks for the review Sebastian, the fragrance sounds good, because of you I discovered my love for fig on fragrances, I got balade savage. And I love it, but for me for a rose-fig combination I’ll stay with Lavailere YSL, creamy and fresh, with a ton of compliments and I got that one with a huge discount. Always very much appreciated your view.
That smile on your face today while talking about pacific chill today is different somewhat Cheeky but frustration on your face and disappointment in your voice that day was different. I was impressed you put all that to side and deliver the review after all that 🙌🏻👏🏼.
To my nose, this is a lovely SWEET fruity, green fragrance. It has a strong sillage for a fresh scent. I do agree that it has a mineral side, making it very well suited for summer. Imagine sipping on a fruity cocktail on the beach with lots of suntan lotion on. 😎
I was anticipating your review on this one! And happy you were able to get your hands on a bottle now! I really like fig and rose, and would definitely like to check it out. Thank you!
I tried this out at a Dior boutique and it does smell gorgeous, I can understand why people will like it, I understand why even I like it. If it takes me to some place, may be something like lake como in Italy or Mykonos (the scene with all white buildings) It's fresh, it's fruity and it belongs in a light toned, breezy, fresh outfit.
Absolutely no Lavaliere. This to me is like a cross between Eden Roc and Balade Sauvage with reminders of Philosykos and L'Omre Dans L'eau and also throw in Dune Pour Homme! :)
I'm not sure about this one. I'm not a fan of green fragrances in general. I love fig fruit. Fig leaf, not so much. But I'll definitely give it a sniff when I pop by the Dior boutique.
Hi Sebastian! Question: is there a particular brand of paper test strips you'd recommend buying? There are loads out there but I'm not sure what kind is best re: material or shape. Thank you!
Sounds promising...lol..I just got an LV fragrance(Attrape-Rêves) and thanks for your comment on the atomizer..the costs alone sets the expectation for nothing less than perfect. Im sure they will exchange your bottle and ive never seen you so upset after opening a bottle..but its going to be ok.
Interesting, very interesting, I was expecting this, there's is no way they were going to make something that different in this first release, not safe, let's see what they decide to do in the designer realm. My only question: Is Mr. Kurkdjian magic touch in there? As I said I don't want to go into this line, too expensive, and there are very special fragrances out there that I want first. Thanks for the video Sebastian!!!
Thank you Sebastian!!! 🌿 But yeah, fragrances-by-committee is certainly the norm, especially in the designer conglomerates. I'm still trying to get out of the habit of listing the perfumer as the exclusive author of a scent. Truth is, these days it may actually be more like artists playing songs written by other people. 😕 Makes me wonder whether we can expect any new ground to be broken by any designer brand ever again. New releases might just take "inspiration" from more adventurous niche fragrances and make it look like something new. All I can say is, thank goodness for your niche-oriented channel! 😄
Oh yes, I love figs in fragrances. This sounds nice. I have several, like Armani Privé Figuier Eden and Jo Malone Fig and Lotus. But my absolute favorite so far is Carthusia’s Io Capri, weird but addictive. The Dioriviera must be investigated!
I have mixed feeling on MFK, but I’m so curious about this one. the green sounds good, fruity floral I dunno. MFK is very hit or miss for me. Probably more miss TBH. Was curious if he’d change his style to something more traditional. Sounds like he did.
I think we've been seeing Dior move away from exotic releases as evident in a bunch of their discontinuations and newer releases. Looks like they want to make easy money by creating things easily embracing. Seems to be the trend all around, tbh.
Idk if you have publicly reviewed it or not, but have you smelled REPLICA’s “Soul of the Forest”? Was hoping to get my nose on that but the only way would be a $100+ dollar blind buy 😢
Soul of the Forest is discontinued but discussed in this video: th-cam.com/video/tI1PJMHGHpo/w-d-xo.html and this video: th-cam.com/video/infslgPQLMI/w-d-xo.html
I appreciate Sebastian's honest review but I don't get that he's impressed with this fragrance alot. Such a pity, as I was anticipating something more mindblowing and not something just crowd pleasing.
Dior prices have become very ridiculous lately and also the whole Unisex thing... I tried 10 different Dior collection privée at the mall, and only Vetiver can be considered Pour Homme, the others are DEFINITELY and UNMISTAKABLY Pour Femme
I've loved Dior for years and have several from the Privee line, but they have lost me after giving Johnny Depp a $20 million contract and jacking up the prices so much. This is not even a vote against him, just a vote against paying celebrities so much and not concentrating on beautiful perfumes.
A juice with wrong content for the name. Dioriviera is their exclusive store in Bali. So the scent should be really tropical. Fig isn’t tropical at all👎

I smelled it in Houston last Saturday and I really liked the dry down. Fresh and a bit sweet and woody on the dry down

My favorites from this collection are Eden roc, oud aspahan and Jasmine des anges ❤ I’m definitely intrigued to try this one
Thanks Sebastian! Again, another great and honest review.
Thank you for stopping by! :)
Awesome been waiting on this release
I'm waiting on this one! Thanks, FragUnk!
I think this fragrance of Francis will be worth gold in a few years to be his first fragrance is also the type that I like
Excited about this release. Thank you!
for me,dioriviera smell similarly like philoskos edp /diptyque,but a little more fruity 、a little more sweet, the same green, great projection、nice one
I can see this.
I think I prefer the YSL. I'll have to do a side by side. Not similar but def similar notes! :)
discount where? lucky!

Am interested to know if you prefer this over Balade Sauvage ?
Thank you 🙂
Love fig fragrances, Green or fruity❤️
Thanks for sharing!!
I am sure you are correct this fragrance is a ' team effort'. Will be interested to know how it compares to the aqua media

Great review
I hope he brings back Ciel de Gum under the Dior brand. I want that badly!
I was anticipating your review on this one! And happy you were able to get your hands on a bottle now! I really like fig and rose, and would definitely like to check it out. Thank you!
Perhaps on Friday?
That’s what I was thinking!
Exciting! ❤🎉 The name of this fragrance confused me for so long… lol!
HOLA SEBASTIAN!! DIORIVIERA tiene algun parecido con UN JARDIN EN MEDITERRANÉE DE HERMES?? Gracias
thank you! definitely sounds like it's worth a sniff. Balade Sauvage was a bit too fruity & sweet for me.
Still waiting for Diorrhea
OMG LOL! That will be very soon! :)
Got mine yesterday
HAHAHAHAHA!!! Omg, platinum comment. Thanks for the laugh. 🙏🏼🤣
Can’t wait to smell this!
😂😂😂u crack me up the atomizer!! to be continue
Just got it!
How would you compare it to Bottega Venetta illusione edp (pour femme) ?
Sounds like it's nothing earth shattering for that price point. Thanks for your review.
I tried this out at a Dior boutique and it does smell gorgeous, I can understand why people will like it, I understand why even I like it.
If it takes me to some place, may be something like lake como in Italy or Mykonos (the scene with all white buildings)
It's fresh, it's fruity and it belongs in a light toned, breezy, fresh outfit.
I’ve been waiting for this review ❤
Hello hello welcome! :)
Dioriviera sounds so nice! Green + fig… I am all for it but the price and lack of uniqueness will be the reasons that holdsme back 😢
Is there any similarities between this one and YSL's lavalliere? I am very curious, as they both have fig and rose notes
Yes, I would like to know also.
Absolutely no Lavaliere. This to me is like a cross between Eden Roc and Balade Sauvage with reminders of Philosykos and L'Omre Dans L'eau and also throw in Dune Pour Homme! :)
To me this smells exactly like Guerlain’s Aqua Allegoria Nerolia Vetiver.
sounds like i would really enjoy this, but as you mentioned, the price point is too steep for something that is not exemplary
I'm not sure about this one. I'm not a fan of green fragrances in general. I love fig fruit. Fig leaf, not so much. But I'll definitely give it a sniff when I pop by the Dior boutique.
Does it have similarities to 724 🤔
No I don't think so. I haven't done a side by side though but off the top no.

I like Balade Sauvage more but it's discontinued ! :(
As discussed here: th-cam.com/video/zTDTH93ExZA/w-d-xo.html
Masculine or feminine leaning? I never tried Dune, but I like fig. I’m intrigued.
What do you recommend Dioramour or Diorriviera ?
Dioriviera for me .

Yes to green, yes to figs! Hope it lasts more than Philosykos... (cough) 3 hours (cough cough).

Not really. They are different.

Dior is just a bore-fest at this point, the privee line is supposed to be big and bold
Agreed
