I have been using the Mackie Big Knob 4x3 for years, producing music. But they don't last using them every day. As I was about to why my third one, I saw a tutorial on this monitor controller. The Behringer Studio XL. I love using the Mackie Big Knob because it had a foot controller for TalkBack. This was great because I could talk to the person in the vocal booth while adjusting something else. For me that was important, and that's why I went with the Behringer Studio XL. In fact, it's really close in all its functionality as the Mackie Big Knob. I never really liked Behringer products, but since they've teamed up with Midas, I think they're putting out some good gear. In fact that was a problem I had when I hooked up the Behringer. Everything seemed clearer and more precise. Maybe my Mackie big knobs we're older versions, but still there was a very distinct difference when I plugged in my inputs and my monitors. So, I think you need to add the Behringer Studio XL to your list.
The problem with all the cheaper (sub 300,00) monitor controllers is their volume potentiometers. Especially the ones without VCAs or attenuation chips. They are prone to faults within a year cause the tracks of the potentiometers are inaccurate and wear out fast. This leads to crackling sounds and level differences between left and right. Which you definitely not want in a monitor controller. The better ones do not depend on the accuracy of the potentiometer. Buy cheap. Be frustrated. I recommend the Audient Nero (sub 500,00) or Grace (way above but amazing). Installed a lot of them….
does anyone here know how to connect multiple monitor controllers to 1 set of speakers?

The title says "BEST" but the video starts and ends with the "WORST" one :) Mackie Big Knob is a huge disappointment. I am saying this as a user for 4 years. The Big knob started to crackle 1 year after the purchase. It colors the sound. Also now completely unusable. Stay away from Mackie BK. 🤮
I use the Mackie BigKnob+ and I‘m very satisfied with it. It’s got all a studio controller needs. Super quality.
PALMER MONICON XL IS WHAT I HAVE. 3 INPUT SOURSES AND 3 SETS OF MONITORS. SUPER CLEAN. MADE IN GERMANY. I THINK THIS IS #1 IN THESE PRICE RANGES.
