What about 3 points for first finder, 2 for second, 1 for third? Also poitns for not being found - Something that gives points for finding first and hiding best
If you’re the person hiding, you get a point for each minute of not being found (with a maximum of 10 points after 10 minutes). If you’re the seekers, first to find the hider gets the same number of points as there are seekers (eg 4 seekers -> first seeker gets 4 points) and then 1 less point for the next seeker and so on This way, by each having the opportunity to get lots of points hiding, if you’re not great at seeking, you still have a good chance to get points

The max number of points you can acquire reach round is equal to the total number of players. The points everyone gets upon finding the hider is inversely proportional to how many have found the hider. So in a game of four people, if the hider isn't found by anyone, the hider gets 4 points. If one person finds the hider, they both get 3. And if two people find the hider, everyone gets 2. If everyone finds the hider, everyone gets 1 point. It's proportional to the player count - 5 points for 5 players, 4 points for being found by one, 3 for being found by two, and so on.
Hi leth, heres a fun way I play sardines: • 1 guy hides • seekers have to find the hider, but cannot say that they have found the hider (they can do fake call outs like "where is he??" "This is impossible" when they found the hider) • when there is only 1 seeker remaining, all the now hiders have to go find the seeker and demo him POINTS: • all the seekers that find the hider gets 1 point • whoever demoed the last seeker gets a point (set it so everyone can demo eachother no matter what team they are on using mutators)

6 months late but a good way to count points for this game mode would probably be something like this (for a 5 player match): The hider(s) get points based on how many people didn't find them. That includes seekers that later become hiders (i.e. if a seeker finds the spot and becomes a hider, they will also be eligible for points). For example, if nobody found the original hider, the hider gets 4 points since nobody found them. If one seeker finds and joins the hider, then the two hiders will both earn 3 points for the 3 remaining seekers that didn't find them. This way it would be in every player's best interest to make sure as few people find the spot as possible.
The best points system would be 1 point for every second that you are hiding multiplied by the amount of seekers left. So if you hide for 2:30 with 4 seekers, that's 150x4 = 600, then 1 person finds you, they now also get points. That rewards good hiding spots, but also finding people. It would be incledibly hard to keep track of tho.
I think point system should be pretty easy : for seekers - 4 pts for the first person to find 3 for second, and so on for hider - 1 pt for each person that didn't find u? also hints should be a location description rather than hot/cold

I maybe have a good point system. Almost every player get points every round. The hider get points depending on how much didn't found him after 10 minutes. If played with 6 people, the jackpot will be 5 points, if he never gets found. 1 point, if one is left to find him. The seeker are getting points depending on which position there are. If a seeker is the first one who found the hider, he will get 3 points, the second one 2, and the third 1 point. Everyone behind that will recieve 0 points. That makes the game more funnier. The hiders wants to get the best spot to never be found, and the seeker will try their best to find the hider. I hope i could make this clear in understanding. My english is so terrible 😂 EDIT: I didn't read all the comments below, so i am not the only one who thinks this is a good idea 😅

I've seen this mode with a Mario oddisey youtuber, and what they did was counting the time as a sardine, for example, in the first round You got 10 whole minutes, in the other round You got no time because every player found the sardine SO the round ended, every started as a sardine 1 time, in their case with unlimited time but You could change that.
That's not how sardines works you hide with one other person on the floor and there are two special roles the seeker and the runner. The runner has to find a group of people and law down next to them before the seeker gets them. The seeker is then the hider and the person on the opposite side is now the seeker. It's called sardines because the pairs of people are laying squashed together.

a good working point system would be a golf system
lowest score wins
hider: gets a point for every person that finds him, if not one finds him he gets 0
seekers: first person to find the hider gets 1 the second person gets 2 and so on, if someone or multiple people dont find the hider they get awarded the most amount possible(like 6 if there are 6 seekers)

Points should be whoever finds the hider firsts gets 4 points- next gets 3 and so on until theirs nobody left

i think the point system should be if no one finds your spot you get 3 points and whoever finds the person in their spot they get 1 point
so if trev and zurx found leth then trev and zurx each get a point. if no one finds leth he gets 3 points

I've seen this mode with a Mario oddisey youtuber, and what they did was counting the time as a sardine, for example, in the first round You got 10 whole minutes, in the other round You got no time because every player found the sardine SO the round ended, every started as a sardine 1 time, in their case with unlimited time but You could change that.

That's not how sardines works you hide with one other person on the floor and there are two special roles the seeker and the runner. The runner has to find a group of people and law down next to them before the seeker gets them. The seeker is then the hider and the person on the opposite side is now the seeker. It's called sardines because the pairs of people are laying squashed together.

Lmao the point system ahahaha, mostly would be by the time they found you. OR in the order they come and if hider is not found by X time he will get one point for each person who didnt found it.
