I always forget to add this caveat. If you're buying one of these for a laptop, the Cloud Alpha's mic might not be detected. Depends on your laptop, but I've never had any headset mic work with my laptop using the 3.5mm port. So USB is probably the way to go to ensure it works. The Cloud Alpha S is USB.
I rarely watch 20 minute reviews, but yours don't feel that long because you waste no time and go into detail with everything and anything that I feel other reviewers wouldn't catch/touch on.

Im video editor/producer and for work Im using AKG professional studio headphones. For gaming I was using Steelseries Siberia V2 and those had great sound overall but lacked build quality. thanks to your reviews (which I found best on the net) I bought HyperX cloud alpha and Im shocked how good the sound is and the build quality for the price is fantastic. I got them for only 55$ on sale. Comfort is great, they arent the lightest but that you cant feel that. I only miss retractable mic but that feature is double sword as the mechanism can brake the mike. Alphas can be used for music and video editing if needed so thats the testimony to their sound quality.

I just bought Cloud Alpha yesterday and it has marginally good quality sound cause i tested Cloud II too in a tech market. But I have little cons about Alpha, it has a clamp force on just bottom of my ear and jaws. It is of pressure a lil bit and that makes me feel uncomfortable. I cant be sure it goes off ? Cloud II had more comfort. Will it go off ?
Were u plugged in via USB dongle while u tested the Cloud 2?

Any chance that you mess with EQ alpha better than Cloud2 so you think it have clearer sound and more details, or you are sure that alpha have simple better drivers?
Just better drivers. My first tests used no EQ so I could put them on an even playing field.

I tested cloud 2 for couple min on rainbow six and i have to say my kraken TE sounded pretty much the same and the razer sound card/app makes them actually better option.
I will test the cloud 2 again soon but this time for more than couple of min.
But right now the TE are very good.
I think a Kraken video might be next. I bought the regular Kraken (not TE). Might get the TE in the future, but I already have a USB sound card from the BlackShark V2, so I can EQ them in Razer Synapse that way.
So far I definitely like the Cloud 2 sound way better out the box. Clearer mids and highs. The Kraken's bass seems to have good potential, and I've got to mess with EQ on it before I make a final verdict. Like you said, that can improve the sound a lot.

I have the Steel Series Arctis 5 headset and it is pretty good so far. The mic is pretty good and people can hear me clearly . Also, I found out that the sonar software improves sound and mic quality even further. My friends were saying that the sonar presets actually made me sound better. Should you choose to activate the sonar software I recommend for microphone the Deep Voice preset, and turn on all settings to 0.5 with the exception of noise gate as the next one is an auto noise gate. Also I would turn down microphone volume down to -2.4db. As for head phones enable all settings to 0.4 and turn on sound boost to 7db. Overall great headset with sonar software.
Another thing that I would like to add is that the sonar software is still in beta and the only way to get it is though creating a steel series account
Also as of Jan 12th SteelSeries is offering codes for 3 months of discord nitro.
Is the surround sound good… so do you hear enemy players well in game

7+ is the exact same as the 5 except that it's wireless.

I don't have the revolver, haven't heard anything good about it but I can't say for sure.
100% go for hyperx. After using 6 months with arctis 5, mic is broken.... bad choice with steelseries

Cloud 2 has been on sale for about $70. I'd get that one if you can. Excellent comfort and good sound especially with EQ.

What about Cloud alpha vs arctic 3
I have the Arctis 3 (review of it is on my site but not TH-cam). It's basically just the Arctis 5 with less extra features. It has the same drivers and build (but no RGB), and it's tuned even more to boosted treble and less bass. Also there's no USB support, so it's only 3.5 mm.
So pretty much the same conclusion as this video. I'd recommend the Alpha over the Arctis 3.
