I believe he got hate mostly from delulu shippers. To them, everything is jimin fault when they didn't get the interactions they want from the members they ship, plus there are so many videos made on TH-cam to manipulate the mind of these young fans. I hope bighit could put a stop to this issue but it's unlikely they will protect him. After all, bighit is just like any entertainment company prioritize only on profit.
