- Predator lures have been made in Wangaratta since the mid 1980's.
They're an iconic Murray cod lure in the Wangaratta area, however they have never really gained a stronghold in a more broadened area.
These lures were originally hand crafted back in an era where there were very few Murray cod lures made in Australia. Stumpjumpers dominated the market back then, with a small handful of other lure makers making inroads into the market of Murray cod lures.
These days, the Murray cod lure market is saturated with heaps of different manufacturers all vying for a slice of the market.
Predator lures are very much well worth a shot. They are tried and proven and deserve to more well known than they actually are.

lol, i know you never swear in your vids mate but you came close to it at the end, lol. Awesome. For me, it was a extra large Stump Jumper i cannot recall the number bro but that was the first hard body lure that worked for me back in the day. Cheers Moose 🎣

First Murray cod on a cast and retrieve lure for me was a cheap eBay spinnerbait in a gold colour on the Brocken river in Goomalibee

Red and black gangster spinner bait caught two cod in two casts then never caught another for a couple hours :)

Hopefully, and i only caught trout cod as well haha so im yet to get my first ever murray cod. Definitely have to go trout fishing again.

robbiefishing haha I hope you had a giggle mate. All that hard work only to realise it was done in silence. Do you have any bloopers while out in the fields. E.g. slipping over, dropping your gear, falling in the drink? I reckon a "Robbies bloopers" would be a smash hit
James Eastham Yeah mate I laughed it off. LOL I usually leave the bloopers in the video. I have fallen over a ripper in one of my trout fishing videos.
I actually do have a bloopers video in my collection. There's a fait bit of swearing in it buy it comes with a lot of warning so that people can turn off before theu watch it. LOL

Thanks heaps for the video Robbie, excellent as usual. My first cod on the cast was on a red and black stump jumper. But the Predator is my favourite for my area. I caught my PB on the very same lure that you got your first cod on the cast on. Hence it is my favourite go to lure. Once again thanks for taking the time to produce these videos, much appreciated.
