I wasn't there, but it looks more to me like the smaller vessel's forestay broke. I don't see how they would have damaged the mast by that collision. I'm a little surprised the larger boat didn't drop their sails and immediately help the other vessel get their sails down and get that Mast secured enough to get back to the dock though. Unless the other people waved them off.....
They definitely collided because I heard the crash (@ 12:49) and looked at them contacting before I could move the camera for the video. You can also see them checking out for damage after. I'm surprised that did stay either.
