This made me realize I have almost always flown alone, except for 1 time. It’s pretty unique that Kara and Nate have managed their journeys together most of the time.

I just finished watching through all of your videos after a few months of lockdown in my country New Zealand. It's been wonderful to watch both of you grow so much over the years of traveling, and this solo flight is just another step. It's inspiring to see you both become more confident and comfortable throughout your travels and your video quality continue to improve. Great job capturing it all solo for the first time! My girlfriend and I have decided to try to vlog our future travels too.
One suggestion I have is to split up your "watch from the beginning" playlist as scrolling through hundreds of videos on the list to get back to where I was up to viewing was time consuming. Having a playlist for each year would make it much easier to get back into each time someone wants to watch.
Kara is honestly the reason I watch this channel. When she cries my heart breaks a little bit.

My first time flying/traveling alone was when I was 19 years old been married for 6 months and I was going to visit my husband in his job training for the army. I got stuck an airport and had to find a last minute hotel it was a horrible experience but getting to see my husband for the first time in 6 months really made up for it ❤️

Awww, I can just imagine how strange it was to travel solo. I used to love flying by myself as a teenager, but I'm afraid of flying now and I don't know that I could do it alone without having a panic attack. Last time I flew was a year and a half ago with my husband from Orlando to Puerto Rico and that was scary enough.

It's okay to be sad for leaving him for a few days. I remember the first time my husband left for work and, while it was just a short trip, it felt like a lifetime and I was a mess! Now we're currently 8 months and counting without seeing each other. You did amazing girl! It also goes to show you, that we are capable of so much more than we give ourselves credit for.

I managed to get myself to Casablanca and again to Egypt and home to London, ON 🇨🇦 on my own, but I will admit, it's sooo much better with someone, even if you are still that someone who is leading the brigade!! Running through unfamiliar airports is nerve wracking by yourself! Good on you........

I’m so PROUD of you Kara!!!!! My fiancé and I travel a lot, but obviously with covid, our travels have slowed down. However, I believe I could manage flying by myself, but I HATE turbulence and my fiancé who used to fly helicopters will reassume me everything is fine. So, props to you for doing it alone. I know for sure I wouldn’t be able to fly alone unless I really needed to!!!!

I used to fly back and forth between Asia and Europe all the time, when I was studying in Scotland but my family was living in Singapore. Maybe it was just part of travelling during a pandemic, but I HATED when I travelled from Singapore to London, London to Manchester, then Manchester to Pafos, Cyprus, and then all the way back again, by myself for the first time in years. Followed by two weeks of quarantine at a hotel, again, by my lonesome. 7 weeks of travelling, 4 of those spent isolating or quarantining. The journeys are so much better with company!
I’ve been traveling alone since I was 18 on planes! I have a best friend that was nervous to fly alone and I couldn’t comprehend it. This video definitely helped me out myself into her shoes. I appreciate the honesty that you thought it would be fun and new adventure but it felt a bit different actually doing the step yourself. Oh and I also check my ticket and the time about 50 times before feeling comfortable 🤣

I really enjoy solo travel. When I fly, 99.9% of the time I get my preferred window seat. Even on 15 hour flights, I rarely watch the entertainment options. Instead, I watch the flight tracker and look out the window.
Definitely me lol. I like meteorology and geography so the window is like a movie screen for me

My first time flying alone was flying to Shanghai for my son’s wedding. Since then I have traveled internationally alone numerous times. Even when you are going to countries where they don’t speak English, it’s not really that difficult.

It’s been that ways for 6 years and even though we know we are co-dependent, we couldn’t imagine life any other way.

My first time traveling alone, I 17 and was heading off to Brazil for a year as an exchange student. First flight from Seattle to Miami got canceled when the plane couldn't land at SeaTac due to fog. My parents took me home (which was kinda hard since it prolonged the goodbyes) Travel agent frantically scurried to rebook me. Ended up with a flight to Los Angeles with an overnight stay. Panicked phone call by my dad to his Uncle led to them picking me up and taking me home. Sidenote I had met them once in my life when I was very young. They put me on a plane the next afternoon. Flew LAX to Lima Peru. Landed at 1 AM. Temperature at 1 a.m. was 103 degrees. Had to stay there by myself with hardly any other passengers for I think 3 hours. Then navigate to my flight to Sao Paulo. First time I hadn't had an adult helping me. Arrived went through my first time navigating customs alone. Then couldn't find my host family. Finally we found each other and had a wonderful year there.

I flew from Toronto, Canada to Adelaide, Australia, and back to Toronto all by myself with a stop over in Vancouver and Auckland both ways. A very long trip but I did it.

I used to travel/fly alone and when I invited my brother and a few friends back than to spend a long weekend in Scotland. I was extremely nervous, because of them maybe having problems while checking in, hopping on/off the plane and so on. Thanks for sharing your thoughts! ♥
