    This video was an eye opener for me. I terminates my contract with a certain agency and i am now with a direct hire that pays better. Thanks so much.

    I think you are a little misinformed on the pay.Agencies are in business.they help you,you pay.their interest might be too much but the point is they facilitated your journey.33dollars per hour is better than what we are earning back home.nurses are free to apply to other hospitals once their contracts are over or alternatively pay the penalty of ending the contract prematurely and move to a hospital that pays you directly

    All those nurses coming to the USA should remember that the agencies have expenses to cater to, a business to run, and shareholders to please and they must also recoup their investment.
    Moreover, Agencies are allowed to report anyone who terminates his/her contract within one year of landing in the US to USCIS for future reference when applying for US citizenship.

    Hi Lola, great video. Just a few questions. 1) which agency did Lola use? 2) Am just starting my relocation journey from UK to USA and will self fund for the NCLEX. Just about to complete the CGFNS form to get the AAT. What states are the easiest to get RN status with on passing NCLEX? Thank you.

    • @nurseing16
      @nurseing16 2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Hi paddy I think I sent you a partial answer just realised you asked what states are easier. Texas is easier. Please note cgfns can taken any time between 6 months to 1 year to process unfortunately they are very slow at doing the credential evaluation . Mine took 8 moths to complete.

    What about an agency that paid for Uworld, state registration and Pearson Vue. The Nurse paid for her visa fees to the Philippines, flight and accomodations. The agency said they will reimburse after 1week of returning but later said they'll reimburse $750 upon deployment to the US. This agency said in their contract that they will pay the nurse $27-$32 per hour and the nurse will be posted to New York for 3years. Please advice because I think this is not good having looked up cost of housing.

    But this is how agencies work..lf you want a full salary sponsor yourself to go to the US, dnt use agencies. An agency sponsors you. You sign a contract which has terms and conditions. You didn't read all those things you are talking about when signing your contract??Agencies are paid by hospitals through the nurses, They give you half of what they are paid. If you feel you can't continue with them, then you have to pay them off..Agency services are not for free..

I feel it would be better I pass through agency rather than i it wait for( God knows how many years) it will take me to gather money to sponsor myself to us.Ive heard of doctors that worked as taxi drivers in us for years before before getting jobs in the us hospital.I also know of nurses that are working as uap in us presently.
    it's individual difference.You can choose to spend years serving money for self sponsorship or sacrifice the 3 years working under agency and get freed there after.Its a matter of choice.
