I think I tried this plugin a whileee ago. It was quite nice. And yes that HPF sounds quite weird, it's not very considerate of phase if I remember correctly, makes makes things sound narrow and flat and compact in a strange way. But I love having pre's in my toolkit and free is always a great price
Totally agree. Most of the time, I'm just really looking for a plug in to do one thing well enough that I can pull it out when I need that one thing and I'm finding now that there are a lot of free plug ins that do just that without too much fuss.
@ mark I just got it in the mail Friday and I haven’t plugged it up at all ! But tomorrow I’m gona plug it into my 1073 and see how it sounds ! The way they sent it to me I was blown away ! The packaging was top notch and they really took real good care of it during transport and all the extra stuff in the box put a smile on my face ! The mic is really heavy and I will report back tomorrow to tell you what I think !! But that’s how I found your channel ! I wanted to find a review on the v5 and I found you and now I watch every video of yours lol
@ I just opened the box mark ! I’m blown away at the craftsmanship of this V5 . It’s nothing like I’ve ever seen , it’s so pretty and beautiful . Top tier quality in this build . The head basket is unreal ! The metal grade of the body and I’m not sure if this is even metal lol some type of sumn but it’s far superior than any mic I have in my arsenal ! I think it looks better than my u87 . Stunning build ! Heavy ! Fantastic ! I’m gona order the V10 in the morning ! I want to get the v9 and v47 and 414x but I’m honestly thinkin to get one more V5 just for back up lol cuz what if u can’t get em anymore lol the V9 and V10 are my next buys . U SAID V47 doesn’t have rich mids but maybe I can put a k47 in it and put a k47 in the V10 !
@@TheVALLEYBOY559 I think the V5 is their best mic. I know a couple of people have had issues with the packaging not being robust enough so I'm glad they addressed that. The headbasket is really cool and it doesn't do anything wacky with the tone and I agree, the design of the V5 is killer and I like that it doesn't look like a knock-off of anything. The V10 and the V47 definitely could benefit from a more appropriate capsule like a 47 or c12 type. The capsule swap on the V47 is pretty cut and dry, but on the V10, it requires a set of Torx screwdrivers to open up the body, the capsule is a bit hard to access, and the circuit is a lot more delicate since it's on a much smaller board so it's a more complicated mod and over time I've kind of grown to like the v10 as is, so maybe if you get one, give it some time with its stock capsule, but for sure the V47 is a great capsule mod donor. Every so often, you get one of these BFL mics with an issue, which is unfortunate, but the BFL folks are pretty responsive to customer service if something isn't right upon arrival. I'm glad you're digging it. Keep me posted after you've had a chance to really dig in and use it on a couple of projects.
Hello Mark, I love your channel. Here is a free plugin that I absolutely love. It is free and it is from D16 group audio. It is a Self-Adaptive Versatile Limiter. Every 3 or 4 weeks I'll try out something else out because I am thinking I am just being partial. I like it more than plugins that I paid for. Would really like to hear what you think about it. Thank you! James
James, thank you! That limiter looks interesting and I'll definitely take a look at it. Really appreciate you brining it to my attention. I had not seen that one before. So many great free plug ins out there. I love it because they kind of feed the need without having to drain the wallet.
HAHAHAHA! I laughed so hard at the "Ahhhh! I just stepped in RØDE NT1a"! Man, you made my day! Hahahahaha
Oh man, I had to leave those shoes outside overnight and couldn't get the stink of garbage off of them so I still had to throw them out.

I Wish Fuse Audio Labs made a dual model version of this.
Yeah, even if they did as a paid upgrade, that's a good idea. Hear that, @fuseaudiolabs?
@MarkYoshimotoNemcoff 4sho!
What's your best free Plugin list for plugins that are still free?
Great question. I don't really have a list I've found that applies to what I do so I'm trying to slowly build one for VO.
You think theres a difference in tone fron the clarion and atlantis in cardiod?
Yes, I do. But I’m thinking you can get pretty close by using the different settings on the Atlantis.
@@MarkYoshimotoNemcoff Clarion is better for VO isn't it?
@@DailyRiot Good question. I have a feeling the Atlantis would be amazing on VO.
