Just saying... for a 'review' you need to take this bike on some proper enduro trails and DH run to get the most of it.The bike is wasted riding it on flat paths. Nice first look, but not really showing anything like what the bike is made for :-)
True. If you're going to lay down serious cash you need to see the bike perform in it's element, like Rob does on his videos. Helps us to make better choices when comparing buying options.
I am trying to break down why the price is so high. Let's say the wheels and tires with all attachments are $400 a piece($800 total), the battery and motor and any other electrical components $2000, that leaves $2000 for the rest(frame, handlebars, crank etc.), for a total of $4800. And I was being very high with those estimates. So, the $1700 left would be profit? I just don't see it.
Yeah, high is an understatement I think. I would bet the gross profit (before business overhead - not associated with bike parts) would be closer to $3000. I converted my bike to a real freeride pit bike for less than $1500. 72V/3kW motor, 30ah batt bank. This bike is a joke, like most featured on this channel. These reviews seem to be geared more for wealthy urbanites who have very little experience with anything other than a bicycle.
@Ray Ward yeah...here in San Francisco it costs as much to service my electric bicycles as it does to work on my truck. Just to fix a flat on a tubeless tire from my superscooter 1500 was $100 just to look at it. I got a patch kit for $7.00 and ten minutes later I had the tire full of air and on the road again. I tell the bike shops here that they are out of their minds but the idiotic techies keep bragging about how everything is a bargain. Go figure.
Pity that the seatpost is just a 100mm travel on a bike with that price tag designed for enduro or all mountain normally you get 150mm travel seatposts
It's a nice looking bike, I like the thinking behind the different wheel size. Expensive too but I guess that's par for the market. A couple years ago I had expectations quality ebikes wouldn't be so pricy but my mistake. My main point writing this is the reasoning behind Sram's GXE derailleur, I honestly can't imagine that's gonna sell too well. It seems most people want multiple gear shifts (like myself) and would tolerate some potential wear as a result.
Unnecessarily expensive. Check out LMX, they make REAL electric motocross pit bikes. Much more bike for the same price. This glorified mountain bike is a rip off that only a fortunate fool would consider buying.
High performance. No obvious mention of power. Normally, that means 250w. No mention of weight. For $6500, I expected a jump over a car with the landing smooth and uneventful.
Kona have been putting smaller rear tyres than the front on there bikes for years IE 2.4 front 2.3 rear, personally it didn't work for me so I evened them up at 2.4 this improved handing and climbing so I'm not sure two wheel sizes will last long on ebikes.
great bike, I own one myself. I think its a very sexy looking thing and the prose 90nm torque gets you where you need to be.. the weight it expceptionally distributed as well
Blue monkey bicycles how the hell did you watch this video 7 hours ago if it just got uploaded less than an hour ago??? What kind of Witchcraft are you up too??😁
One of the most glaring benefits that I have personally experienced is that you should never lock it up in public and should always be riding it to and from your residence🤓😱
Christopher Moltisanti I love electric bikes,I have one myself. I also have a few normal push bikes. I wouldn't say the electric bike was more fun myself. It is certainly a lot easier though. I sometimes commute on the ebike, but I always feel a bit lazy doing it,and I find myself apologising to other cyclists when I overtake them with ease on the hills. As for making you fitter, that is not the case for me. As a regular cyclist anyway I feel less fit when I have only ridden the ebike for a few days. But they are definitely great for people that are less inclined to ride a regular bike. I see them being more and more popular over the next few years. Especially as I have noticed they are coming down in price. Not including the one in this video though. At that price you might as well get a couple of good motorcycles. I thought it was stupidly over priced.
That is one wicked looking bike...the price tag is way out of bounds with reality though.
Mikey! Nice to see you making more of your true skill. Congratulations.
Get it bought!! 💪

Looking good!

Well made point. Knowing who to go to matters. I have done same.@Ray Ward

A woman is trying to set a new land speed record on a bicycle at 170 mph, it's currently 167 and it's not electric assist! I hope she makes it!

Calling anything on a bicycle a 'cockpit' is a poor choice of words, it is a handlebar. Otherwise a good detailed review.

What are the benefits of an electric bike 🚲
