And notice how her teacher sings on the beat, with rhythmic accuracy, and she leads the orchestra. Something a lot of modern singers don't do when they sing with orchestra and wallow in their tone. Callas learned her lesson well.

One can see why Maria Callas always put the utmost importance on clear attack and precise intonation - her teacher passed down to her this rule of Bel Canto so well! Why can't so many young singers be bothered with this nowadays and deliver all the notes? Singin just half of what is written means you're just too lazy to do your job well and you don't respect the work you are interpreting.

Genial esa entrevista de la televisión francesa. La Callas habló bastante de su técnica. Y Elvira , la gran cantante española, una verdadera soprano de coloratura, fue un elemento relevante en la formación de Callas, de hecho, fueron amigas hasta el final. Pero, como todos sabemos la divina pasó sus últimos días, lejos de todos y lamentablemente murió antes que su gran maestra. Gracias por recordar esta gran entrevista del sol de la ópera, María Callas.❤❤❤❤
