So whose voice is deeper? 😅 Think I did a pretty good job trying to match that bass, What you think of them harmonies :P should have a duet one day... All jokes aside... What can I say? Geoff has the chops that's for sure! Those lows made my whole body vibrate! Plus he can sing normally not just deep. 🤯 More Geoff reactions coming soon! Which are your fav songs/covers by him? Much Love ShaneyG 💜
People get excited by the depth of Geoff's bass... and it IS deep. But what gets me is the beauty and smoothness of his tone, and the way he makes it all look effortless. He has talent..... but it's a ton of hard work that got him the whole package. Listen to VoicePlay's Dragonborn Comes or Hoist the Colors - both covered by VoicePlay. Geoff is one of the founding members of VoicePlay and does about half of their arrangements. He arranged both of those above.
He's doing all the voice tracks, by the way. That is Geoff harmonizing with himself. Some of the deep, deep bass reverbs are enhanced in production, but he can sing the notes on the bottom of the piano and teaches others how to do it as well.
Geoff is hands down my favorite bass. Not only can he go very low (even lower than he did in this song) but he can go pretty darn high too. And he sounds fantastic in either end of his range. The a capella group he is part of, VoicePlay, has some wonderful videos as well. They never disappoint.
You really can't go wrong with any of geoff's songs. His house of the rising sun is always a good one, misty mountains is as well. Personally my favorites are his covers of high and dry and also Blackbird but they show off his high and low ranges more than just his bass. Have fun in this rabbit hole! 😆💜
Heyyy thanks! The question isn't who can sing the lowest but who can sing the most beautiful! And who can arrange wonderfully and who has a great taste for sets and lights and such and who is a wonderful person in general -> Geoff for sure is very high up there! My fav. is 'Sixteen Tons' and all of his other music!
I was recommended Geoff a few times because I have a deep voice so I was joking in the thumbnail by saying who has the deepest voice. I did mention that he has a great singing voice as well. Can't wait to hear more it really blew me away 😊 Will also be doing Voiceplay reactions - one will be up later today ✌😊
Geoff is also a founding member of his group VoicePlay #TheatreKidsOfACapela. Their cover of Metallica's "Nothing Else Matters" is outstanding. We all know that lessening to Geoff and Voiceplay headphones is a requirement. I am here for anything VoicePlay and Geoff or Hame Free, Tim Foust is their bass and also amazing.
I personally find his lowest notes amazing, but when he sings in his mid-range I find his voice more beautiful. He is a fantastic musician, arranger and vocalist. Just would like to hear more of the higher notes. Enjoyed your video, ShaneyG!
Great reaction Please react to voiceplay too Geoff castellucci is part of this group they are amazing I recommend you voiceplay hoist the colours please😊
This particularl song doesn't reallly show off his lowest notes, but it's a great one anyway. Misty Mountains might surprise you. :) As Geoff has said, going low is one thing, sounding good while doing it is something else. And Geoff has the smoothest tone I've heard among bass singers. And pronouncing the words correctly at the same time. I have subscribed in the expectation of you reacting to his cover of Misty Mountains Cold . However his other skill is in having a range of five octaves. So it's not all about the low bass.
I wanted to do Misty Mountain Cold but did this one instead. So that will be my next reaction of his after Voiceplay. I was recommended Geoff a few times because I have a deep voice so I was joking in the thumbnail by saying who has the deepest voice. I did mention that he has a great singing voice as well. Can't wait to hear more tho it really blew me away 😊
Thank you for a great reaction to Geoff Castallucci. He is the low bass singer of the group Voice Play. He is one of the founding members of Voice Play. They are known as The Theater Kids of a capella. Please do a reaction to Voice Plays cover Dream On, it was originally by Aerosmith. Also Voice Plays cover of Carry On Wayward Son originally by Kansas. Also Voice Plays cover of The Dragonborn Comes Skyrim. That one is theatrical a capella. Also Halo, the theme song from the Halo video game. The composer of the music said Voice Play did the best cover he ever heard. Better than his .
My favorite bass- not only for the low notes but the amazing smooth tone and his versatility. His solo work has instrumentation, but only in two occasions has Voice Play used an instrument. Geoff’s is a founding member. He The the beatboxer do about 90% of the arrangement. The person doing the arrangement is responsible for most of not all: edits, location, costumes -the works! BmVP LOVES Halloween. They did 4 from Nightmare. Subscribing.
Wow that is awesome! The Voiceplay guys are so talented I reacted to 2 of the nightmare before Christmas songs. They the only 2 I saw but I'll probably release them as one reaction. Love The Nightmare Before Christmas so was a bit of self indulgence. Thanks for the sub 💜
if you really want to hear how low he can sing you should definitely check out some of his other songs like 'Over The Misty Mountains Cold' as well as some of the songs he does with VoicePlay such as the 'Halo Theme' and 'The Dragonborn Comes' etc 😄
I couldn't decide between 'over the misty mountains cold' or this one and I chose this one seems like I should of picked the other as my first choice. Will probably be my next reaction after my Voiceplay reaction I did. Which will be up later today (Sunday) huge fan of gaming so the halo one would be awesome. I did 2 nightmare before Christmas ones cause I'm a huge fan and as soon as I saw that I knew I had to react to it. Some self indulgence.
I too love Nightmare Before Christmas! Oogie Boogies Song was the video that introduced me to VoicePlay and I never looked back. Really, for Geoff, all the ones you named are fantastic and worth a watch!!
I still need to check out the other 2 nightmare before Christmas songs by Voiceplay. Plus a few more things by Geoff. Just not enough hours in the day. Thanks for checking out the reaction and the comment 😊
Dude, I'm not kidding, if you know anything about notes/octaves, you legitimately sang a chest voice Bb1 in this! I think Geoff may be just slightly deeper, but definitely not much!
Impressive low tones, sir! You didn't do a bad job at all of keeping up with Geoff on this song! Because Sound of Silence doesn't really call for a lot of super low notes, Geoff only hits a couple of fairly impressive lows in this arrangement (which he also did). All of the voices you hear in the song - including the highs - are Geoff, which is almost more impressive than just the lows he can hit. Far Over the Misty Mountains Cold is a better overall song for seeing how low he can go, because while Geoff is known for his amazing sub-harmonic lows, he doesn't use any of them in Misty Mountains - it's all chest/chest growl in that song. Geoff is also the bass singer for the a cappella group VoicePlay, and he hits some of his lowest notes in some of those songs - Oogie Boogie's Song, The Dragonborn Comes (Skyrim), My Mother Told Me, and especially Halo theme - where he hits the lowest note he's ever done on a recording, B0 - not once, but twice!
Just thought be interesting to see if I can go low :p i did a reaction to Voiceplay Oogie Boogie and this is Halloween cause i love that movie should be out sometime today but now i think i need to check out the Halo theme being a huge gamer myself. I wanted to react to the Misty Mountain Cold but chose this one instead thinking everyone would enjoy it but think I went for the wrong one. Will definitely be doing that one next 😊✌
@@ShaneAlanGower Don't think you made a bad choice at all, definitely more people will have heard of Sound of Silence than Misty Mountains Cold. Just happens that in the case of low notes, Misty Mountains has more of them than Silence. If you've heard Oogie Boogie, you've definitely heard Geoff go lower, and This Is Halloween you've heard some very interesting character voices from just about everyone! Halo has Geoff's lowest notes recorded to date (B0), but they actually happen pretty quickly, although the B1's that lead to them are held for a while. It's still a pretty amazing sound to hear coming out of a person!
greetings and love from Germany...Whose voice is deeper? In my opinion: Henk Poort ́s voice. But if there are no others to choose from except Geoff... then Geoff ́s. 🤷♂️😁
I was recommended Geoff a few times because I have a deep voice so I was joking in the thumbnail by saying who has the deepest voice :p but now I'm into bass singing and will check out anybody that is recommended 😊
@@ShaneAlanGower oh, now i see..and i was joking bout Henk Poort. His voice is incredible..but i think it isn't that deep..however, thanks alot for your feedback..UP THE IRONS
You have an interesting voice, it sounds like your tone is coming from the top of your throat, try lowering it to come from the bottom of the throat/chest you should be able to get deep. My voice is higher than yours but in a week I learned how to hit a F1 note. You should practice you have a gift just needs a little training. Have fun with it✌🏻
