It’s because we have not a single clue what these bodies are asides from theories. And the more we learn about them the scarier they get, there’s actually speculation going on saying one of the planets in our solar system may be moving as if it were alive and we have no idea why it’s doing it. And did you know our solar system is incased in a bubble and we don’t know why.
these images to me don’t scare me but 1:20, that scares me for a different reason. Could you imagine your last moments being on the moon, looking at the earth as you suffocate knowing you can’t go back. That’s just horrifying
Absolutely horrifying for me to think about 😰 And to see nothing but the empty dark void of our galaxy as stars and planets are year away from one another as youd stay on the one rock that's closest to earth and realize, your there alone.
I don't know why but I find space images like this incredibly amazing. Paired with background music it creates a certain type of nostalgia. Since I was 4 I loved everything about space but knew basically nothing about it. These images bring that feeling back
1:44 that's like when you go to the planetarium and they have those big screens in the wall that show the planet's, it always made me uneasy.. Picturing it in the sky would make me piss myself
I remember having astrophobic dreams as a kid. Nothing too serious, nor was it even the focus of the dream itself. I would just look up and see a gigantic moon and get scared shitless. Thanks for bringing those memories back to me.
WHAT??? same i thought i was the only one. felt stupid for having a dream where i saw every planet lined up in the sky (including earth) and it scared me to hell
I think I might have astrophobia, since I keep having recurring dreams of the planets being too close to the earth, or looking up at the sky and seeing the cosmos instead of just tiny white dots. It scares me so much because it instantly tells me something is wrong. The planets aren't supposed to be this close to the earth, and the cosmos shouldn't be this visible.
I had very similar dreams and thoughts, and I probably have astrophobia too, like it definitely didn't feel normal when I saw space when looking at the sky or seeing planets replacing the moon or being close to it.
I remember I had a dream where when I got out of My house it was night and in the sky I saw different planets like neptune, jupiter, saturn and others very close to earth, and I also Heard like cheering in the background as if it was a show of some sort, it was magical but terrifiyng at the same Time.
I think the futher out the more terryfying. Just a pitch black void. Saturn would be sitting there, a ginormous object against plain black. Uranus pixly object, against blackness. But the most terryfying, black holes, invisible, and pull your in, and stretch you out.
tbh, scientifically, if i recall correctly, 2:24 wouldnt kill since its dust and rocks from the moon exploding, but im not really sure, it would for sure be pretty as hell
dude I saw something similar and it really scared me. it's not about the planet, but about some kind of dense constellation or galaxy. in a dream I was sitting on a hill and there was a dense cloud of stars in front of me, it seemed that it was pressing on me or watching me
Interestingly, the only thing that makes this mildly spooky to me is the music. It's similar to a jumpscare in how easy it is. Also I lost it at the Death Star lmao
does anyone remember in 2019 the rumor going around about a new planet that was going to hit earth ? they said the planet would hit earth on april 23 or april 22?? i forgot but my family was taking me out for a late birthday present that day and i just kept looking up at the sky preparing to be obliterated .
I feel like these pictures, expect for the one captured on the meen fail to capture that unnerving feeling for 2 reasons. 1. They're all pictures from earth, which gives you that comfort of a warm home that grounds you from fear. 2. There is wayy too much stuff in these pics. Space is empty, cold, uninhapitable, and unimaginably vast, and that is what makes it so terrifying. In space you're far far away from anything you've ever known, and always face to face with death. All it needs is one simple mistake, and you're drowning alone in a vast ocean of nothing with no tether to civilization, or other human beings.
This isn’t really scary. Being on the earth while a planet is approaching you isn’t scary. The planets are having a quarrel and you just happen to be a bystander to the celestial apocalypse. It starts to become eerie when all you can see is you, the stars, your spacecraft, and the planet, slowly looming towards you to swallow you, staring at you. The spacecraft is on a normal calculated path, but the planet is moving irregularly. *Acting* irregularly. Like a great cosmic entity you have disrespected by being in its presence. The spacecraft you’re in has lost its thrust. There’s no way to turn back. You wish you could do something, but there’s nothing you can do. You’re stuck, slowly waiting for your inevitable demise. That’s what I think is astrophobia.
I love space but it makes me feel uneasy at the same time because i get kinda uneasy with supernatural things that i haven't seen directly in front of me I'm ok with the moon and earth but other planets look so nice but horrifying at the same time. Am I alone here? Galaxies and purple things are the most coolest things in space that i'm ok with
Well, joke's on you. I'm obsessed with space AND I've got astrophobia B) just because you're facinated by something doesn't mean you can't be afraid of it
i like planets, galaxies and stuff but there's two things that make me wake up during every single night by fear of space structures the fact that, in comparison to earth, our solar system looks like a burj khalifa next to an ant, the megalophobia and the most unnerving, is there even life over there? such big planets, either hot or cold, and yet we dont had any single signal of outer life. good night.
We made big things but you know we are still small because 1. You need a satellite to see such things and 2. Other planets have things possibly bigger than our own planet, I still love earth though
As a person with astrophobia, this scared me the most, especially when the music kicked in, it actually scared me so much that i looked away from the screen lol
My anxiety is so high rn, that I'm probably gonna faint while watching this, !UPDATE1 uhm I fainted😧 but imma not watch things like this anymore I'm so scared of them😭
How can something be so fascinating and beautiful and so unnerving at the same time?
not sure lol, the people who made these images are very talented.
it is not even weird!
It’s because we have not a single clue what these bodies are asides from theories. Sadly I have that
Outer space scares me greatly. Imagine floating alone in an endless black abyss near a gargantuan spherical mass. Absolutely terrifying thought.
Imagine waking up in the middle of the night, looking up to the sky and seeing
Earth.
I meant seeing Earth from Earth.
I'd die from shock💀
i'd go visit my alternate self
i’d check my surroundings and then wonder if im dreaming or i died
or my life was a lie and i was actually in a coma on another planet.
“Hello me!”
This just triggers my megalaphobia, the comparison of planets to earth terrifies me and makes me sweat

The photos of the planets so big that they blend in with the sky's hue and dip past the horizon shake me to my core...
I dont have astrophobia but the planets size and the fact that we are floating in the middle of a void it scares me

2:33 is actually beautiful
It’s kinda trippy in a way.
i know most of the pictures are edited and all but they're still pretty cool. unless you have this phobia.
i have this phobia but to me they are pretty cool!
More like all of the pictures are edited

agreed
so does 1:44
for me, I don't find this beautiful or majestic, I just find I horrifying.
