i always planned on going to an ivy like cornell but, more recently in the midst of the process i’ve felt overwhelmed. I’ve been thinking that there were too many people out there that were better than me. But you’ve motivated me again! So, thank you!
this literally warms my heart. i definitely had my doubts when applying too but you do not want to look back at your college application process with regrets! take those risks and leave it all on the line! let me know if you ever have any questions or if there's any videos that you'd like to see from me :)
Thank you so much for this video! I am an incoming freshman at Cornell and I am planning to major in CS, so this video is incredibly helpful. I saw someone mentioning how amazing your videos are on the CIS meeting and they are absolutely right! Love you!
2nd not doing it alone and college is what you make of it (and it not being worth working your ass off to get the absolute best grade you can get, take care of your physical and mental health!)
Yo good video! Although regarding that question at around 15:00 or so, I personally would actually recommend people who wanna learn a computer language or just coding in general to learn outside of the classroom. Idk how hard the coding classes are at Cornell, but ik for some schools, sometimes the coding classes can discourage people from actually learning how to code cuz they'll think because the class is hard as hell, they can't code. Whereas, they might be more inclined to learn about coding if they just watch some youtube tutorials or something where they can learn at their own pace. But I guess that's just my view on it. Again, great video and keep up the good work!
Awesome!! I’m an incoming freshman at Cornell and I’m also interested in taking computer science. This video really helped me out a lot. Also, I would love to participate in URMC soon!!!
Hey, Checking in from the University of Michigan! I just found your channel and i would just like to say your videos are extremely informative! Your experience w your physics class is a very similar experience I just had w Discrete math lmao. And I also hate social media I deleted all of my accounts and I feel so free from bs lol but I also feel like an old man . Anyways, sorry for typing so much but I really love the content I can tell you put a lot of effort and thought into these videos, keep it up!!!
#askmia hello, I was searching how to get admission in Cornell University, I just passed 12th with 76% score, so how to get admission into Cornell University I'm from India
Would you advise me taking an introduction to programming courses like C, C++, Java and Data structures and algorithms for or diving straight into web development.
i think that starting off with web development is a really good place to start!! there's so many online resources you could literally start right now! and then you could take a programming course next semester and already have some familiarity with CS :)
AMAZING!!!! i talk a little about interview advice in my video how to got facebook and google offers th-cam.com/video/u_rwDBUTU2Q/w-d-xo.html biggest advice is to do leetcode, hackerrank, firecode whatever practice problems you can find and speak out what you're doing as if you were in a real interview! congrats on getting an interview and i wish you the best of luck
yes!! it's super easy to change majors especially if the major is in the college you're already in. cornell doesn't make you declare a major until your sophomore year so you have time to figure it out :)
hi im a international student and 9th class 77% 10th class 95% 11th class 97% 12th class 96% do you think colleges look over my freshman grade i have a really great ECs
i applied to the college of engineering!!!! engineering is more science and math while arts and sciences gives you the flexibility to take liberal arts classes and a language. the computer science major is the same in both colleges but what differs is the college requirements !
Can you please share info on the URMC for my son! HS jr AP honors looking at Cornell with weighted 4.0 gpa! Please any info would help! Great Great video!!!👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾

Would you advise me taking an introduction to programming courses like C, C++, Java and Data structures and algorithms for or diving straight into web development.

Is easy to change majors once you get in Cornell? for example, my ec is more related to chem and if I apply to Chem, can I later transfer to cs?
yes!! it's super easy to change majors especially if the major is in the college you're already in. cornell doesn't make you declare a major until your sophomore year so you have time to figure it out :)

you've shown a lot of growth which is a plus!! they definitely care more about your 11th year grades so I wouldn't stress too much!
Are you in college of engineering or arts&sciences? I can’t decide which one to apply to😭
i applied to the college of engineering!!!! engineering is more science and math while arts and sciences gives you the flexibility to take liberal arts classes and a language. the computer science major is the same in both colleges but what differs is the college requirements !
Is the math hard?
Are you in CS of COE or CAL?

@@miahsanchez Thank you so much I really really appreciate it and my son thanks you as well.
isn't youtube a social med?
nice vid btw
i guess it is? i never really considered it social media but it does fall under that umbrella! i guess i just hate instagram lol
Dartmith is better
i think theyre both really amazing schools!
I think you should spell Dartmouth right if you are going to say that. Cornell CS > the rest of the Ivy League
