    I absolutely agree on making Details as the first tab in the record pages, it is dead simple and straight forward as most of the world navigates/reads/writes from left to right and top to bottom. Secondly, Related list is looked less frequently on a need basis. Thirdly, Related tab takes longer time load as it has to query for fetching all related record details, it is a clutter, waste of computing resources and user time!

    Do you think using rich text in utility bar is a better way to provide quick links than the home page component? That way it is available at all times and not just from the home page.

      OMG...not sure why I didn't see this comment until now. How embarrassing. Sometimes, putting a rich text component in the utility bar is even better than placing it on the homepage! It all depends on how much content already exists on the homepage, whether it's better for users to see those resources from ANY page in Salesforce, etc.
