What a great tune. Really full and rich with great sequencing and evolution for just 2 boxes. 🎉 @hardware jams are doing a 2 box 5 min challenge at the moment. This is inspiring me to have a go! 👍🎧✌️
Oh bro. You have just taught me so much about song structure. I often jam with just a couple of pieces but tend to get get lost after a while. This is really nice and clear. Am still so very proud to be a patron. 👍👍👍
I have a Circut Tracks myself. As someone who doesn't have a lot of money to invest in music, I try to use the groovebox to its limit. I am very glad that there are such cool authors from whom you can learn something.
Holy Jesus this started good and then got AMAZING when the second timber on the MM2 kicked in. VERY nice track and great use of the hardware. You may have just sold me on a Circuit Tracks. I had the OG Circuit for years and replaced it with bigger more complex hardware but I miss the size and simple workflow of the OG!
Circuit tracks was what first intrigued me in the hardware space. I never ended up getting one and sprung straight for a synthstrom deluge instead but it looks like a fantastic device for the budget and minimalist setups
Beautiful combination. Very small. Can be battery powered and is huge in sound. I do own both and is the vacation combo. Superb inspiration video. Thanks for sharing your ideas.
Your channel is the reason i now own 5 or 6 various grooveboxes and synths and controllers. Thank you. But bow i realize i have no idea what to do. 😅 Im trying to recreate your aongs but its not as easy as i thought. Its fun though. Thanks for your time and effort.
Love the second synth voice in this one. Reminds me somewhat of your melodic jam with the Reface CS through the Generation Loss from a couple years ago.
I think it's an easy recommend if you need to patch in holes in your setup, or just want a small swiss-army-knife-style synth for your table-top setups. It's a little harder to recommend on its own, since there are alternatives that might be a better choice, but at least the price is super reasonable.
@@JayHosking what would another compact option be with multiple timbres? I really like the fact you can use both MIDI out channels from the Circuit here instead of having two separate synths. Just less to trying to remember how multiple pieces of gear work.
@@firekeeper09 Not sure you can beat the MM2 for compactness or price on a multi-timbre synth. Something like the Roland SH-4D would give you more timbres and hands on control, but is larger and has a higher price point. You could also do something like the Roland MC-101, which is small and has great sounds, but not very useful for sound-shaping using its panel (primarily for presets, which you can load in).
@@JayHosking I actually just looked up the MIDI implementation and it looks like a Yamaha Seqtrack could do the same and they are dirt cheap on Reverb :)
The Circuit Tracks is such a amazing device, especially for synth lovers Like us. With the 2 audio ins you can make a mobile synth setup, mix, sequence them, put fx and sidechain and pan then. You can even automate the panning! The 4drum tracks are more then enough and with some good samples you don't need any other drummachine. Probability makes even 1 bar enough to keep things interesting and this thing have just the best workflow in the game. Have the Circuit Tracks since it's release, for guys like us, with G. A. S this device gives us always a reason to buy a new synth😂 Thanks for the jam Jay, really enjoyed it,especially your drums are so snappy and dry. Did you a sound pack or are the drums your costum ones?
The drums and one synth voice are from a SoundGhost Circuit Tracks pack, and the other voice (frog bass) is a patch I made with the editor. And thanks!
A wise musician named Jay drops videos that remind me the importance to play more, talk less.

I really like the Circuit Tracks, and the MM2 is really adding so much atmosphere - great in combination!
Jay is great but never guides or helps his followers not even on patreon

Dang... you're so right. All too often I recommend other synths for beginners, when the CT has everything and is user friendly.

This is great! I love the synth sounds and lead lines!❤
Takes someone with your talent to do so much with such a minimal setup. Inspiring!
Nice jam mate!!!!!

I love listening too this music when I don't know what kind of mood I'm in for the day, and then I do thanks Jay!!!🤯🤘🤘

You, Mr. Hosking, are really a master at this! Thank you.

MM2 It's really a mini monster! I own it and there isn't much to say, great synth. and thx Jay for all ;)
This is a WHOLE jam 🙌🏻
Dig it! So seldom to we see the MicroMonsta2 in the wild. Plus a Som shout-out!
Cool to see you using your MM2 again!
Definitely need to get it on the table more!

How coincidental since my Micromonsta 2 arrived today :)
brilliant
❤
No "SCENE" was harmed during making of this video :D :D MM2 looks like a great companion for Tracks.
Soooo kewl
Nice
So, so sick, always 👏👏👏 On the CT which sound pack are you using, or did you make your own? Please can I throw money at you if so 😅
I used one of SoundGhost's packs (though I made one of the two synth patches in the editor). Not sure which one. And thanks!
I was eyeballing the MM2 for a good, long time. I figured it overlapped with a lot of stuff I had, but it does sound really nice.

These drums and one CT synth are from a SoundGhost pack, and then I made the other synth sound. And thanks so much!
CT is so easy to set up a few sequences and just jam/mute tracks. Then you realise you should have recorded it 😂
This is amazing! Just wondering, is this part of the factory sound pack or is this one of the new sound packs that novation recently released?
