Justin only talked about the negatives of having a wifi router in your bedroom. I find the nice humming sound the router creates acts like white noise that makes me fall asleep quickly. Yesterday I gave myself an early Christmas present - I removed the fireplace in my room that used to provide all the light I needed - I swapped it for LED lights. Now the flickering sounds of the LED lights combined with the wifi router humming makes me fall asleep the moment I walk in my room (I don't even need to lie down anymore). I do have a weird lump growing on the side of my neck but boy do I fall asleep quickly.
The worst position by far, your financial gains are capped by a salary and when a company goes through financial hardship the executive level is the last to be cut.

Immigrant here. I remember in South Africa before we went hunting. We would talk to a grocery store and they would buy the meat from our hunt. I’m sure it would be easier for local farmers to sell their meat at grocery stores. The FDA here in America definitely limits stuff like this.
I'm 30 and people think I'm 21. My bio markers say I'm 24. You don't need Bryan Johnson. Eat the food that your grandfathers used to have. You need to know every ingredient that went in. Simple hack - How do you feel 1-2 hours of eating a food
I only bench press 50 pounds but people think I bench press 300 pounds. You don't need Bryan Johnson. Bring fake weights into the gym. You need to film yourself and put it on your socials (including MySpace). Simple hack - How do you feel 1-2 hours after you tell people you bench 300 pounds

@chanrox69 my point is that I identify as a cow - I eat a lot of grass like my grandfathers did. I think I need more protein though to get past my 50 pound bench press pb. Since my grandfathers only ate grass, what would you recommend I eat to get more protein?? I am guessing they had a secret source of protein as I've seen some massive cows
@@nickt5252 well, you have already made up your mind and you have an answer (filled with either hubris or disinterest). Nobody can help someone who isn't open and makes some outlandish statements
You used to be able to purchase "Amish Chicken" in certain grocery stores in the midwest. Not sure about that anymore. But, everything on the west coast has no taste compared to the midwest and I was told it was due to the cold weather making things taste better.
As someone who's been on the keto train for a while, I totally agree with the health challenges we're facing, but are we overcomplicating the solutions? 😅
Love Mares but there’s some new data about a recent unexplained uptick in American health he may need to look at. Though some of these realizations are just now starting to spread so there could be a connection.
For chicken or any other meat you can't optimize it to have more protein... The more protein comes from making it as heaviest as possible in the short amount of time :) You can't get chciken to have 40g of protein in 100g regularly, the only way to achive it is to dry it...
Title is a bit misleading. Thought this was going to be about healthcare businesses. I don't think this is quite that, but maybe I'm looking at it too narrowly.
I really love this podcast...I watch all of your episodes..for context Im prob one of the most recognizable Conservatives in Florida...but....do you guys Not have any Black friends? lol..Sam? aint your wife?? Great interview. I have to say that the idea that we live much longer now is often overstated. In the past, high infant mortality skewed life expectancy averages, but adults who survived childhood often lived into their 60s, 70s, or beyond. Modern medicine reduces premature deaths but doesn’t significantly increase the natural human lifespan, which has remained around 70-80 years for centuries. Chronic diseases like obesity, diabetes, and heart disease are more common now due to sedentary lifestyles and processed foods. Plus, many “extra years” today come from artificial life extensions through medication or technology, often with poor quality of life. Historical evidence, like long-lived elders in traditional societies, shows longevity isn’t purely a modern phenomenon. Sardinia and Okinawa didn’t have access to modern medicine and their life expectancy was above average because of their lifestyle, food choices and community ties.
Also, the debate about reduced infant mortality often focuses on v@cc|nes, but the biggest improvements came from other factors. Clean water, better sanitation, easier access to hospitals, and understanding germs drastically cut disease rates. Medical professionals started washing their hands and wearing gloves. The discovery of antibiotics saved countless lives from infections, and improved nutrition made babies and mothers healthier. More knowledgeable doctors and safer birthing practices also played a huge role. Most of the drop in infant deaths happened because of these advancements, not v@cc/nes.
It's really just business advice. The "poisoning" is a marketing play to scare consumers into buying. Is there any conclusive evidence that any of these things are giving you cancer? No. Are we claiming this widget will prevent cancer? No. But if you don't want to risk it, buy buy buy.
it's this type of episode that makes me feel like I'm on the wrong side of the entrepreneur crowd. If the leading health issues in America are coronary heart disease, obesity, diabetes, neurodegenerative / mental health, and diseases associated with socioeconomic depravity, then the solution is not switching LED bulbs to incandescent, testing EMF levels etc. maybe people need to get outdoors more & be more active instead of switching bulbs. guy supposedly wrote a huge manifesto on this topic that took a super long time, but can't quite explain the difference between ionizing & non-ionizing radiation. the evidence for these sort of fringe 'toxins / hazards' is weak, but it seems to prey on peoples worries -> Shaan - "how can i use that.... how can i maximize this". they assert that the guest is more about 'getting the core things right first....', and there's sort of a brief 'ya, ya get the basics right but then...', then they do not speak to physical activity, community, time outdoors, time away from screens etc, whole food diets, all the non-glamorous things that don't package and sell easily. the big levers are diet, exercise, sleep, quitting smoking / alcohol / substance abuse, in the U.S. especially - improving access to healthcare, improved walkability and reduced car-dependency of cities, and improving mental wellbeing. they prefer the old Bryan Johnson before he was selling products, but this is an episode pushing businesses built on selling wellness products & services.....? i'm left wondering if I have to suspend my morals and technical knowledge in a field with the hopes of achieving financial success. had to bail after about 25 mins.
