thecrazykdramaaddict Absolutely incorrect, obvious example being One More Time by Daft Punk, which was released in 2000. LOADS of autotune on that track. This song came out in 2006.
i think the person meant that auto tune wasn't so widely available during live performances. also daft punk is kinda a different taste because they are purposely using a huge amount of autotune in their songs so they definitely had some sort of playback and synthesizers during the performance, but not a mic that literally corrected/autotuned their vocals.
