I advise you some French rappers from 90's like Passi, Doc Gynéco, etc... and Diam's from 2000's, for example her biggest hit: "DJ" from summer 2003.
those go downhill. They might have a few good songs for sure but it's hard for non french speakers. Melody is not as good as Solaar.
If you really want to dig into rap (funk), check those songs.

C'est aussi pour cela qu'il dit, exprès, "Bonnie and Claude" au lieu de "Bonnie and Clyde". Je vous conseille "Solaar pleur", "Caroline", "Sonotone"... En résumé, j'en conseillerais plein.
