He's such a compelling actor. He will get an Oscar for sure!! I remember his big scene in Lady Birs and it was one of the most powerful scenes in the movie. Made me sob so hard.

Fun interview for sure. But let's take a moment to recognize Jon Batiste for a moment. How fucking talented is that guy?! If you pay attention, he's always riffing some old school stuff just off the top of his head. Frederic Chopin to round out a joke? Done. Ridiculous and impromptu Cats? Done. Dude's just crazy talented.

Wee little men are only about 50x worse than this... That was a pretty good improv. performance. Steven's VH1 Behind the Music reference is awesome, but a little stale. Pretty sure the Biographies stopped being created in 2013-14. Jon Batiste and Stay Human have a lot of good talent in their band. I know they only play a small amount each show, but it would be nice to see all of them highlighted occasionally.

Stephen didn't have alcoholic beverages for his guests until he had Graham Norton on :D I believe Stephen asked for some tips and Graham told him about the alcohol :D
