Watching him process just how oblivious he was to how much effort she was putting in to talk to him and take interest in him, is kind of cathartic for the audience on her behalf…like yeah my guy! She really liked you and you gave her absolutely nothing both times.
Yang yang played this part so well, realising just how much she really loved him and wanted him to do well at what he loved. You feel his heartbreak and anguish through the screen 💜👏🏻💜
Whatever emotions a scene requires... I find Yang Yang so perfectly acting it out that it feels like it's not some enactment but him n his life.. in a roles i hv ever watched of him. He is par excellence i think..whether his looks, persona or the voice and act... Just crosses 100% mark. I felt him here too..this show is diff and so good. ❤️

And even later he still was too much in his head about their differences instead of focusing on the love, respect, and friendship they could make together.
