Neratov, I love that church... We have been there several times as a family... The power of that place is overwhelming... Servis there or just people singing some religious song makes you somehow calm and strong...
If you're interested in some hiking, I highly suggest to visit Jizerské hory, mainly a "village" called Jizerka with beautiful hisorical buildings and rich history, also Pytlácké kameny, one of the most amazing viewpoints I've been to and Rašelniště Jizerky. It is something like National Park, if you like nature, you wouldn't be dissapointed.
I like your videos, but one thing drives me soooo crazy and it's the fact that you like to refer the fall of the Soviet union to 1989 as it is connected to the situation in Czechoslovakia, which is so misleading for all the people who aren't well aware of the Czech/Czechoslovakia history. Soviet union has collapsed much later (2years) after the Czechoslovakia has restored the democratic system in 1989. And for all those people who think we (Czechoslovakia) were part of the Soviet union, we were NOT!
It's a simplified point of view the US has about the whole communist regimes. They see the fall of the Berlin wall as a fall of Soviet Union. Which is honestly quite the truth, since the process of the dissolution of the Soviet Union started in around 88. Also although not being members of USSR, the Warsaw Pact countries were - again simplified POV of the West - considered a part of the eastern communist bloc. Quite honestly, I'd be happy if 90% Americans at least knew this simplified version of "cold war" history after 1948. But then again, the US had the same propaganda the USSR and Warsaw Pact had about the US, we are guilty by knowing the simplified history (if any!) of the US after 1945 as well:)
wow that Michal Tucny was a nice touch
Thanks, it was actually playing on the radio as we drove and it felt perfect :)
Beautiful roof! Congrats to the architect and the construction team. It compliments and in way no distracts from the old church.
Wohoo, driving through my home village... (0:55) :D

Thank you for clarifying that! Still learning about the history of the Czech Republic and Czechoslovakia, so I'm always open to being corrected :)
