Madam Crestfallen It's an oil based wood stain. It's fairly inexpensive and you can get it at any paint/hardware store. This color is probably close to Minwax's walnut stain.

walkingeagle77 I used an inkjet printer to print the image on wax paper. The glossy surface prevents the ink from drying allowing you to then transfer it to the wood. You can also use label paper as I did in my video "Anna's Box"

kolya yerg Sure thing, this was my first woodburning project so I am no expert. You can get a wood burning kit pretty cheap but I would recommend one with temperature control. The tool has exchangeable tips for different effects. There are tons of good tutorials here on TH-cam. Good luck and have fun.

What did you use to darken the wood? Was it paint or? I'm just trying to make something like this myself
