Then Alpina goes to assemble the car itself with in-house motor and paint along with their own VIN, and later on conjoined with the interior bits. To say Alpina's cars were assembled by BMW is a bit of under appreciation for Alpina😅. And no, totally not like Brabus

The 8 Gran Coupe is my favorite BMW in-person the quality level has skyrocketed even since the past TWO years, and it's so comfortable with the standard seats.
I drove an 850xi 4-door recently and it was an awesome car, the license plate on the bumper is such a clean look too. The current BMW lineup is pretty sweet rn I like their current models a lot compared to the other German manufacturers they’re getting great designs with sporty engine options on every model.
I’m a Ukrainian living in the USA and I can say that Mercedes and Beamers are one of the most popular car brands in the Slavic community; here and in Europe. Keep up the good work guys👍

This would be my choice of daily, only if I can afford it. I love that it doesn’t look polarizing, has the utility of 4 doors, is comfortable on long drives, and has the performance!
So dope that you guys got this among the first reviewers as I think you guys mentioned - Love the 8 GC overall and this is of course the GC on steroids...love the interior combo (though I'm not a fan of actual peanut butter LOL) and yeah the body kit does enhance really nicely (opened up the BMW site and compared side to side. I’d take an M car in my 20s, and an Alpina now that I am 40 but still a BMW fan boy on the inside lol it’s the perfect mature balance between power & class.. I just need to make a little more money now ..
You guys must really like this car. You NEVER stopped smiling. Alpina has always made better BMWs than BMW. Powerful yet comfortable, they only feature that seems to get worse is the gas mileage and yikes, it is not good. But I suppose anyone that buys these cars probably doesn't care. For me, the only BMW I crave is the M2 unless you go back 40+ years to the 2002tii or the some of the early 6-series. You guys should do a retro video series from time to time profiling class iconic cars like that. It would interesting to get your take on old-school rides. I promise to give you a 'like'. I'll bet there are dozens of guys and gals with really cool old cars that would be happy to have you showcase their garage-queens. You'll learn a lot too, trust me. These gear-heads are a wealth of knowledge.

They need hundreds of millions in investment and no one is going to invest that in a "dinosaur juice" car manufacturer at this point, sadly. Alpina would have to switch to EV for investors to get interested.
Before the chip shortage these would depreciate hard! I picked up a 2015 b6 for over 50% off msrp with 28k miles in 2018. To anyone thinking of getting one do it!! Green and blue only though.
IMO apart for the M2, M3, M4 and maybe even M5, the idea of putting the M performance version is borderline pointless. Don't get me wrong, the M treatment sure gives the car significant performance & handling upgrades, but they tends to ruin the ride quality, and that's not exactly what you want if you're buying a limo, a grand tourer or an SUV isn't it? An Alpina treatment suits them better because it gives the car comfort+ setting (stock BMW only has comfort) while still also gives you decent performance upgrades.
Generally I’d agree, but if you’ve seen the Grand Tour episode where Clarkson compared the M5 vs B5, you’d be able to see the difference quite easily. Yes the Alpina treatment is perfect for grand tourers/daily drivers, but the big M cars are much sharper and handle like sports cars- including the M 5/7/8/X5 etc. Kind of the ultimate all-in-one vehicle for those who simply do not have space in their garage for multiple cars.
The BMW 8 series has no faults, hope they bring back the 6 series too or call the coupe version the 6 series to eliminate confusion between the gran coupe and coupe
