The y-ability of the heavy grunts also works on mechanical heroes, like ice cream truck and forge, and even against the hunter captain. The more you know.
Soviet military casualties during WW2: 8-11 million Axis military casualties during the eastern front: 4-6 million Let’s be generous here and say the Soviet took a 2-1 kill ratio. But with a poor start to the war because they just industrialized 2 decades prior that’s no too bad. Kill this myth that the Soviets just threw men into the war. If anything the Germans defended Berlin with children and old men and women.
Yap yaps please dont kill me ability can be so powerful in the right situations stalling waiting for friends to arrive as well as just eating a max cannon or salvo to the face and take no damage
I haven't played Halo Wars 2, but I love that CA made the Banished so different from the normal Covenant, probably one of the best examples being Yapyap himself. In baseline covenant society grunts are only cannon fodder and menial workers, they don't rise to positions of leadership. The banished however appear to be different, with Yapyap being a major military leader. Really shows how different the banished are.
Dude is an amazing counter to hero units. Just surround a hero early on in the game and while u may not kill him. You will significantly delay him. I noticed that a strat people love to run is to get as many mini bases as possible early on then rush while the opponents are tryna get ground baxk
I bet Yapyap is awesome for early game rushes. Don't even need to spend any resources to get a full pop of cannon fodder and just dump them at the enemies buildings as they produce.
@@lokochon2000 harvesters are fine because they're cheap and situationally power extractors too but it's risky because of how expensive and defenseless they are
I like to play "paint the map" with Yap Yap. Send cannon fodder out EVERYWHERE (making heavy grunts at the same time of course). And then just get as many bases as possible. Then with each base just keep spamming out cannon fodder. While the enemy is busy dealing with EVERYTHING. I go for the gobbos. Then mostly ressupply my army with grunts from above.
Yap Yap is VERY hit or miss. If you're a beginner to RTS games, and don't understand the core element that makes Yap Yap truly shine, you're going to have a bad time. But, if you're at least decent at these kinds of games and understand how to pressure reliably, you'll understand why Yap Yap is a force of nature.
@@SavingSoulsMinistries Yap Yap is overpowered. RTS victories are usually decided by the mid and late game, but as a Yap Yap leader, who needs that anyways? You can reliably deny the opposing team of a solid late game with constant pressure and annoying tactics, giving your team more than enough time to prepare for a strong attack. Yap Yap is the only leader who can pull this kind of strategy without any restrictions whatsoever, since his units are insanely cheap, but still strong. Every other leader who plans to stall the enemy are usually met with wasting resources and time, but Yap Yap can do this for practically nothing. I mean, just look at the video itself. The guy could've won the match easily within the first 9 minutes, which in Halo Wars 2 standards is insanely quick. Sure, he was fighting against a bot, but even if it wasn't, what could he have done? He was just starting to get his resources and bases prepped up but this dude already had all that, and more, within the first 8 minutes.
I accidentally won my first game with yap yap because I had like 6 cannon fodder and just threw them at the enemy base, he haven't built any terrorists or anyting and I guess he was going for an air assault so he only had a couple Marine units once I noticed I started producing heavy grunts and just send them all in Waves

@Kerbal Miles Serina hero unit
@Kerbal Miles yeah the bison is nick named the Ice cream truck
I usually runn them with 3 scarabs and they basically insta heal😂
"Ok so the first thing you need to know to... Play... Yapya- wtf is that sound?"
**Thousands of Canon Fodder charge from over the hill**
So many "guides" are just fast paced gameplay with no explanation. Thank you for making an ACTUAL guide to yapyap!
YapYap literally took the Soviet WW2 tactic that if you throw enough people at the bullets eventually they'll run out of bullets

Well ungoy do breed ungodly fast so it's more effective for them
If you don't have a full pop of vet 2 cannon fodder on the enemy base in the first 5 minutes of the game you've never truly used Yap Yap

I thought leader abilities still do damage
@@TheNepaliwarrior did they change it when I used him last I swear it didn’t?
The grunt mechs are just johnson on crack, I love pairing them with scarabs
If u wanna survive as yapyap online u need to start with mass choppers and don't build barracks until t2 at expo.
Or… yknow… pick up 4 minis and sit on enemy gens with vet 3 fodder and triple GG in 180 seconds
The content on this channel is fantastic! My sons and I love watching. Halo Wars 2 is a family favorite.
Glad you enjoy it!
Thank you so much for making this I have been struggling with Yap Yap

or its just a joke character used for a mass meta
Or that yap yap just rebelled against the banished and is leading the grunts that followed him against both unsc and banished forces

i main yapyap and im just watching this just because, but this is probably a good starter video forsure.
I truly appreciate these videos they are so very helpful....thanks teamrespawn
Just got into Halo Wars 2 and just got into Yap Yap and yall post this? Thanks lmao
TeamRespawn "I forbid you from putting a power extractor on a mini"
Someone, somewhere has already done that several times.
Me
I put my armory on first mini usually
It’s me I’m someone
Lol i use mini for Harvester and power extractor all the time, where AM i wrong?

Love the content, love the series. Sargeant Major Johnson is my favorite, Oorah!! Can we get a Kinsono guide next
This is perfect timing I just bought yap yap.

Dude, yapyap is so damn good lmao, I’ve won like 4 games in a row with the dude
cannon fodder rush would be a good start to buy time to build economy since they're free units
Best leader...ever

I have one week playing as yap yap and i havent lose a fight he so good
how to play as yap yap
step 1: rush
step 2: win
My favorite hero on hw2 .
I would give anything to fight Yap Yap in a normal Halo campaign
Thank you for these guides. Only started playing Halo Wars 2 a week ago and I suck lol
Don't have halo wars 2 but imma still watch it
when you get the “get back out there” and you have vet units would the units still be vet afterwards
I love doing fodder vs flood
Yap Yap is my most successful leader according to the game.
Que up at least 35 pop of cannon foder go after every crate and garrison
Love the video
i remember by buddy was playing this and he took down 2 scarabs with nothing but heavy grunts
I hate air spam against me when im a unsc leader, as all counters can be countered in some way by air units
Personally I’m a grunt dome kinda guy, once you get that to max I no one can touch me lmao
Spoken by a true beginner
No u
I always get surprise party 2, it destroys everything early game
I disagree with the mines the methane wagon boosts ALL grunts and debuffs enemy units which makes the fodder a little more viable
Do you have one of these for shipmaster? I can’t find it
Can we get an arbiter video? He’s one of the leaders I’m on the fence about getting
Thanks
YES I AM NOT UNDERSTANDING YAP YAP THANK YOU SO MUCH
YapYap for me be like: Please play me
I will continue to place power extractors on minis. And there is nothing you can do about it
good
I just need to know how to get him
Yap Yap is god
AKA HE IS A ABSOLUTE UNIT
I feel like yap yap is best on pc
Which monster disliked?
How do u counter mass air ?
Reavers?,
More air
Hellbringers are nice
Step 1 quit
If step 1 fails build a scarab
Yap yap
