Valsa Choro Suite Populaire Brésilienne

This is the third movement from the Suite Popular Bresilienne by Heitor Villa Lobos. Another live and unedited recording "Covid Session" from my living room. 2020's been a year like non other that I can remember and if you're reading this, you've made it this far so there's reason to be grateful and celebrate. Whatever you celebrate this time of year, i'm sending out some warm wishes to you and yours and looking forward to a better 2021 and hoping to be able to share the music live and in person. Until then, i'll keep recording at home and sharing the tunes! I love this waltz and audiences seem to dig it as well. There is plenty of chromaticism and lush harmonies, and melody reigns supreme in this one. Villa lobos continues on with the ABACA form he's been using throughout the suite, returning to the main theme after excursions to other key centers and to explore other themes.
