If you want to work with networks, then you'll need to work with Wireshark. This video will go through the install so you can start looking at those packets.
does anyone know why this is not installing on my chromebook It keeps coming up with an configuration error about dump cap can be installed in a way that allows members of the Wireshark group to capture packets
when i try to run it it says No protocol specified qt.qpa.screen: QXcbConnection: Could not connect to display :0 Could not connect to any X display. what do i do
@@guardme1072 no I wish I think it has something to do with my permissions not letting me I am in monitoring mode but its still not working, I have a chromebook so I'm pretty sure that's my main problem😅😂
@@hackzgamezyt are you sure?if you open discord or something discord will send packets and the ips of who the packages are being sent to will be shown, but it has to be a app,not a browser page.
thank you guys for confirming about wireshark
Or, at least on Debian, Ubuntu and Fedora, maybe others,, put the user in the group wireshark and you're good to go.
I believe it would be better to add your user to the 'wireshark' group. Then your user could run the capture, but any other users could not.
Great video, I used chmod 777, but not know why. Thanks for the explanation.
So lovely....and easily understandable...Thank you.
Isn't it safer to add your user to wireshark group? Then we won't have to add permission for all users.
I initially had the same question. I did the same as you did adding the user to 'wireshark' groups in group file.
Could you do a demo on how to use tshark for troubleshooting as well. Thanks
Thank you very much!

It’s not compatible. U need a stronger laptop not a Chromebook. And u probably don’t have enough memory on there to install it.
0:52 that part doesn't showed to my installation but it successfully installed to my laptop.
