@@kevinhardy4397 and you’re missing the point because that even if you’re competitive if you aren’t self aware enough to know that every situation is not a competition you are small minded
Eh. There’s one thing that I generally agree with, and that’s that unsolicited feedback or advice is incredibly annoying. We also have psychological evidence that the majority of unsolicited advice is not generally effective. CJ had no business talking like that. Patrick Mahomes would have no business talking to another player like that. Also notice, Patrick never talks to other players like that.
Nick took a massive L on the Caleb/CJ convo. CJ had possibly the best rookie QB season of all time. Caleb would be stupid not to take this advice and praise
Also, CJ is watching as Bryce Young, a guy who was just drafted Number 1 and whom CJ is close to, just got benched after appearing to be on the verge of tears in a game as a result of an appalling start to an NFL career. He is well aware of how hard this league is and has repeatedly emphasized how hard the game is and shouts out other players for how hard they work to make it. CJ is trying to speak to Caleb the person, not Caleb the Number 1 pick. Nick is so wildly off base on this and fundamentally doesn't understand CJ as a person. His metaphor with Mina Kimes also doesn't track here.
Nobody is doubting that CJ Is good but he clearly thinks he’s some veteran if he’s going around giving advice like that to people who didn’t ask for it. Dude’s ego is way too big.
@@joshuahartman2555. Caleb is the one with the giant ego. You take advice from whoever is good at giving it. I'm actually shocked at Nick's lack of objectivity re: Caleb and the Bears. The Bears offense is producing at the 4th worst scoring rate in the NFL next to the likes of the Panthers, Broncos, and Steelers. Caleb, meanwhile, has no grounds to be pouting about Stroud, a proven performer and professional, showing him support. Just my two cents on the CJ and Caleb piece - the team totally ignored how CJ started the conversation. He said "you can't take hits" I think the reason CJ brought him back was because Caleb's reaction seemed like he ignored that, and CJ was looking out for him and his body not because he thought he was better. Health is important and CJ made that apparent
I don’t care why any of yall say in the comments, if someone get sacked SEVEN times, play bad, lose the game, walk off the field and the opposing QB whose months older than you’s first words of advice is “hey stop taking all of those hits” they have a right to feel a way. The only thing recently in the NFL that Nick has been right about is the Chiefs, and that’s not exactly hard lol.
