Yep, they will only take what you have equipped on the hot bar, your body and your inventory. Just have to respawn before they are killed. so the faster you click the bed and respawn, the better. Time to start breeding up health mutations on the hawks for better survivability.

In Norse Mythology there was a dwarf called Fáfnir. He was a greedy dwarf and sought gold. He eventually got his wish and got Andvaranaut a magic ring that helped finding sources of gold. Eventually he found his gold but the ring and gold came with a cost. The ring and gold cursed him and he became a great beast, a dragon. To protect his treasure he breathed poison to the lands around him to keep everyone away from his treasure while instilling terror in the people. Eventually he was slain by Sigurd who then ate his heart.
So my name recommendation is Fáfnir. Also fun fact Tolkien based Smaug off of Fáfnir.

It seems like the fjordhawks only start teleporting once you actually click the respawn button. Not confirmed or anything, just what it looks like based on the timing
but they are immune no matter how long it takes you to respawn right?
@@XYZ-ql1fi No, i think they can be hurt before you click the button, like how it was burning when he respawned with one of the first eggs. It had gotten hit with a little bit of wyv breath before he respawned

you can do this with desmodus's cloaking ability, just start teleportation from "R" radial menu and once there are 5 seconds left, pick the egg, done this with all wyverns, magmasaur, rock drakes.
When Syntac post it just makes my day because this is one of the best series I’ve ever watched

I landed in a death barrier in skylord cave and the hawk brought back my loot even if my desmodus died instantly this hawk is invincible
It WILL die to bosses, Alpha Dragon evaporated mine, along with all my mutated boss Dinos in my soul balls, saw I wasn't gonna beat it and started picking everything up think fjordhawk would bring it all back... big ol nope.
@@johnerwin9347 yea its like teleporting to a shadow realm where you only come back if you win kinda like the military.

I swear Desmodus are the ultimate Wyvern killer, they can maneuver around and avoid every single attack, and you can make them deal a lot of damage with imprinting + levels into melee
I always have a daeodon available when raising tames, especially wyvern. No need for milk as the daeodon keep the wyvern HP up. But I do have growth speed increased.
With enough growth speed the wyvern will reach maturity before it dies from hp loss with or without a Daedon.

I have not played on official servers for a long time. Only play on private servers or single player.
I usually go with the maewing. Grab the egg and haul ass into that tunnel. They always get stuck around the edges. You just need to jump and slam slide into the ground on the way up the tunnel.
I love how Harrison is just staring syntac in the eyes while burning to death and syntac is just like “yeah you’re fine”
I pumped a lot of speed into my first desmodus and it was just able to outrun the wyverns. A member of my tribe super bred them and i took like six into the fight against the alpha crystal wyvern queen, even was on one for the entire fight. At level 900-1000, they steamroll wyverns EXTREMELY easily.

When landing with the Desmo, if the crosshairs appear, it will latch, even if it's the ground.
Had it happen to me on a Magma nest, and I glitched under the map, fun times :/
i glitched thousand times in massive artifact cave, i spawned on my base, really good game, just lucky have a lot of desmo
There is a secret underwater cave at Lat: 46.55 Lon: 35.16 there's a little metal but it is def a cool little spot to check out!

I had an experience with a 170 lightning wyvern and it was relentless, the wyvern chased me through all of Asgard and the only way I was able to get it to de aggrieved was to leave Asgard. It was annoying to deal with when I went back for more wyvern eggs
I genuinely feel pain for you. I was able to just fly in and take a egg uncontested. It was lv180 "difficulty 5". I honestly felt a bit insulted, like the game was taking pity on me lolol.

I did this with the lightning wyvern trench but since it’s so cramped I waited until it was night so the desmodus can turn invis
You can use the Maewing to nurse the baby Wyvern instead of dealing with milk

I'm pretty sure when you attack in invisibility mode even on you player your invisibility will be undone.
He already realized this in the video where he was testing the desmodus. He punched while on its back latched and invisible and made a comment about how he became visible again.
Fjordhawks and Desmoduses are super OP and they'll probabaly won't get nerfed because people will start to play ark 2 more
Do to the Desmodus being similar to the griffin, if you’re being chased by a wyvern you can fly straight up while spinning and then once you reach the sky limit you can dive straight down and un-render them. Although you can’t put fly them, you can still definitely get away by other means

Just had a thought, could fjordhawks recover your things from a failed boss fight? Could be something worth testing on singleplayer but I can’t be bothered!
People were saying that it did but I tried it with my boys and it didn’t work. We did alpha island brood mother and didn’t have the dps. Of course we let the timer run out so it wiped everything in the arena. Maybe if you killed yourself with a organic poly you could save it I’m not sure.
If the boss kills you while in the fight the fjordhawk will return your bag to you once you get repawned
Syntac, go look to the left of the portal cave if your coming out, and the right if you going in. There’s something cool in there.
Edit: maewing can feed the baby’s because they have a milk giving ability.

Absolutely! I just kill wyv/onyc/etc by strafing constantly, barely EVER get hit. Use its agility to your advantage!

I think Catalyst would be a good name for this specific wyvern. Its the catalyst for progress through a new series and was the only good egg grabbed, being the catalyst for success with trying out the Fjordhawk trick. As we all know, catalyst is also a term used for something helping another something to ignite/combust.
It's a little generic, and I think Fafnir is also good.
i enjoyed this video but ,the best bit is the fact the eye shadow on your hawk, is the same colour as your hair, its just brilliant

Maewing feeds baby wyverns Syn
The only thing you would need milk for is possible imprint but you can just re-roll those with the soul ball.
Um, don't you usually have to put the food the babies eat in the Maewing's inventory? Or is there something special about those needing milk that allows the maewing to just feed them without food in their inventory?
@@DconStarstormGaming The Maewing eats its food and feeds the babies with its milk, you don't need the babies food for the Maewing to feed them. I have a Maewing that I maxed the nursing effectiveness on specifically for baby dinos like wyverns and magmasaurs. Hope this helps 👍
@@michaelsignor1311 I can test it out but cant test it with wyverns and drakes, they grow too fast for the need for maewings. Maybe I'll test with magmasaurs.
Not sure if this has been covered before but, I use the hawk for all my farming and to get into my base if its an out of the way base. farm up your metal or wood or whatever then throw it on the ground. pod your tame and whip up the popcorn. Munch on some O polly and viola! teleport to a bed near your forge or vault. Toss it out again and whip it while in range of forge/vault.

Me and my friends use our griffins to nab eggs and run, we used our wyverns to clear out the poison trench. Because we have heightened stats I have 800+ fortitude so I live in Jotunheim and I use ice wyverns, so I clear that trench almost daily, and recently I finally nabbed a lightning wyvern egg. Dino max levels in the wild is 900 so lightning wyverns are terrifying.
yo syntac how do you play on difficulty 6? do you have to change the uni files? i watch your videos so much im getting used to the max being 180 lol
That trick with flying them around with the bat also works really well with an Argentavis. I usually take a beefy Argy to get Wyvern eggs. Just avoid their breath weapon when they come in and get right on their tails. The Argy has just the right speed to fly them around in tight circles and take them out without taking hardly any hits.
Edit: Best used in 1 on 1 encounters. ;)
You should make your desmodus invisible to sneak past the wyverns, that way you could get the eggs faster by going straight to the nest

You can also use the teleport thingy and probably stay on the same island fairly close to it
I haven't had any issues out maneuvering fire wyverns with my desmo. Just gotta use the dive ability to your advantage.
One of the bats in the Magmasaur cave made me land like that and I was heading towards the lava haha. I poo’d myself lol.

Could name in dreki. Its Icelandic for dragon. There's also a couple Greek mythology dragons such as Landon who guarded the golden apples in the garden of Hesperides or Python who guarded the centre of earth at Delphi. Or name it Y Ddraig Goch which is the red dragon in welsh.

How about Gorbash, Smrgol, or Bryagh, these are the names of dragons from Peter Dickinson's book Flight of Dragons which was turned into a animated movie in 1982. All three were fire type dragons
I never read the book, but that movie is one of my favorites.
I use a Desmodus for farming wyvern eggs and Magmasaur eggs just pump your points into health and damage, The wyverns won't stand a chance you will be able to kill 3 or 4 at a time.
You can pick up the S+ bed and put it back down to instantly reset it. You can do that to let another tribe member respawn right after you, too, if you are playing with more than one person and less beds than deaths.

Dude!! Id like to ask, how in the frig is your maewing able to jump so high????
Note* Hawks after you die will fly a short ways up and hover/spaz in a singlee up for as long as it takes you to pick your bed for them to then teleport to and drop your items. While the wyvern trick works, they can still die if you don't respawn fast enough.

You appear to have the same fjord hawk glitch I have, the invulnerability buff is not there it’s not just a visual glitch it will die. As far as I can tell it’s cause by it going under lava and is fixed by getting a new one I recommend just breeding one. ( I tired everything including cheats but no luck)

can the fjordhawks travel between realms when u die or is it that they just teleport to your spawn bed
on a non boosted server with normal settings, i have a tamed desmodus that i cranked up to 12k health and 1.5k dmg, you can kill all the fire and lightning wyverns, the fire nearly does nothing, poison can kill u tho. I even make a behemoth 7 gates cage close to the fire at a flat service and draw the wyvern in for milk, with a desmodus u have space to get out between the gates...
I really need to learn how o use that transfer thing I keep forgetting about it
depending on your maturation rates the maewing nursing will suffice for milk once its at the meat eating stage it will feed from troughs
i think, wyvern only can be fed with wyvern wilk, or you just can use a snow owl or a daedon

Syntac did you know that if you spam shift on your maewing it boost them? I have the autorun mod on my server and spamming shift (run key) is like hitting boost. Awesome video as always.
at 8:02, how do you make it so there is multiple corpse finders for all your bodies, usually there is only one and you have to backtrack where you died. Is this a mod?
Of the mods you use, I'm shocked you don't use Awesome Spyglass. I grew tired long ago of trying to identify their levels.
