Hi I have heard jah shaka plays jah protection 2:17 by alpha & omega on a tape at a live dance can some one down load & tell me what dance was it at & is their any other alpha omega tunes jah shaka has played at a dances please thanks
i dunno about that, it might be diff to the lp cut, which i have, but theres like another 5 or so cuts which are released, which this sounds like one of them... maybe it was released shortly after this dubplate...
The first cut played by Shaka is unreleased. There are gaps between the melodica pieces that are not on any other released cut. The second cut is on the Dubplate Selection Part 1 CD on Greensleeves and on the B-side of the Partial 7" release.
I am the only one who has this exclusive Shaka dubplate - the call and response is zebby lion - Malcolm R.I.P - and me jonah dan of inner sanctuary records - this session was in Vauxhall in the Arches - Liam are you sure you got this mix?

Emperor hailie Sellasie I my old man rated him king if kings
Sounds like the original
Quite different. Listen to the version on the King & Queen LP then listen to these cuts.
Sounds like the 7" single to me. Don't forget the way it plays through the sound makes it sound original.
@@melodysouljahrootsdubpress5539 I got the 7” on partial records and your right it’s the same
@@mandeepsekhon as have I 😉

jockstrap2006 we are getting waaay too technical :-)
Yeh we are, but admit it, ain't much difference. Right? In the dubplate cut.
mandeepsekhon
Both are dubplate cuts. First one still unreleased! Of course they are similar, that's what different mixes generally are ;-)
The crucial difference with this recording is Shaka and the Shaka-ites in the background. Church communing
"Oh Jah!"
"Oh Jah, Rastafari!"
Shaka
